The room was nice, but we didn’t sleep well. There were loud people walking through the hall most of the night. The toilet didn’t work well. We felt uncomfortable when we arrived there at 10 pm. I later learned Brattleboro has a bad drug problem. We won’t be stopping in Brattleboro again.

This is a hotel that could do with a rehab--it just reeks despair and lack of upkeep outside and in, even if the rooms are very clean. and some way to remove the pervasive smell of pot and with staff that is less rude and knows how to welcome guests, for instance, paying attention to them.

I really don't understand the high ratings on this hotel. My room keys were left in an open lock box that anyone could access. The entire place smelled like cigarettes and weed. The police showed up twice the one night I stayed. People were falling down drunk in the parking lot. I ended up staying in the room due to no vacancies at the hotels in the surrounding area. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Bad smell in room. Stains on carpet and pillows Bedding appeared clean but stained Neighbor was vomiting loudly for an hour at 10 pm (assuming from drinking too much)

The entire property smelled like marijuana and the hotel is a place for the unhoused population to live. There were people in and out all night, very loud. The bathroom was also not clean. I did not feel comfortable.

This hotel has full-time renters that are allowed to have pets. That wasnt my issue, but the dogs barking when owners left wasn't very pleasant. The place smelled like curry and the walls in bathroom and bedroom were absolutely filthy. The bed was horribly uncomfortable also. Otherwise the residents that live there seem lovely and were very friendly, but I will stay somewhere else next time.

Dingy hotel with sketchy people around

I’ve stayed in cheap hotels before, but for the price and rating this was particularly sketchy and unclean. The bathroom and room were just dingy and gross, though the bed was clean. There were sketchy people hanging around outside and inside the hotel, and the “security guard” (random dude in a hi-viz vest) did not make us feel any more safe, although I think he meant well. We were passing through and made it through the night, but definitely would not stay there again.

The run down Covered Bridge Inn

Extremely run down and filthy! Hallways smelt of cigarette smoke, even though there were no smoking signs everywhere. Lots of homeless people hanging around. The clerk was nice enough to cancel my reservation and give me a refund. I was afraid to have my brand new car in the parking lot. Not a family friendly atmosphere if you get my drift.

Be aware

The room was clean and comfortable enough. However no breakfast was available, the breakfast room was locked shut. We found out that the place is being used for sheltering homeless , when we saw three police cars in the parking lot, attending to a commotion.

Good: Checkin was a breeze even though we arrived late. Cost effective pricing. Bad: However the entire inn smelled of 3rd hand smoke. Not just hint but very strong and we had kids with us. Tried to call the manager to see if we could get another room but no answer and never responded. We ended up leaving the hotel and got a room somewhere else. Lesson learned, google reviews are spot on.
