The first star is for the hotel's location. We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go during a four night stay. The second star is for the hotel's atmosphere. The heritage value of the property added to the comfort and enjoyment of our stay. Our huge room was more comfortable than being at home. In addition to having a nice view of the river, the soundproofing was excellent. Third star for the high standards of property maintenance and housekeeping. Fourth star for the food and beverages in the lounge and breakfast areas. Fresh, hot, and tasty. Fifth, and most important, star is for the staff. Thanks especially to Grant, our most helpful and amiable concierge, for going out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. His pride in this building, and its history, was infectious. Expedia puts a limit the photo size but doesn't specify what it is, so I'm unable to post photos relating to our experience.

Fabulous location, great heritage feel, staff were very friendly, they went above & beyond. Room was extremely spacious, luxurious marble bathroom with all amenities supplied, complete with a beautiful full sized bathtub. The large king size bed was so comfortable, fantastic pillows & blackout curtains for a perfect sleep. Will definitely stay again.

Staff were fine. The half eaten packet of chips on the bar in our room was off putting as was the lack of coffee pods. The room was grand. The bed comfortable. Steps up to the bathroom. Parking was miles away.
