Our stay at the Hyatt Regency was fantastic, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was the outstanding service from Emerson at the breakfast restaurant/buffet and Yulieth from the breakfast concierge. Muris at the breakfast buffet was also very pleasant! From the moment we arrived, Emerson went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive—checking in on us at just the right times without being intrusive. What really stood out was Emerson’s attention to detail. He remembered our drink orders, including my kids’ preferences, which made us feel genuinely cared for. It’s rare to come across someone who delivers such personalized service with a smile every single day. Emerson’s hospitality and professionalism are on another level. If he isn’t already a manager, he absolutely has the skills to be one! He truly deserves recognition (and a raise!). His service made our mornings something to look forward to, and we can’t wait to return. Thank you, Emerson, for making our experience so special, you are the reason we will recommend this Hyatt Regency to others!

I usually go to this hotel every year. But now in renovation. Main pools are closed. The main restaurant is closed. Given all of this, I believe it is overpriced currently. Will go back once renovations are completed. But at this price in this conditions there are better options close by.

Horrible policies and procedures. Front desk personnel rude and management unresponsive. It has turned into a Corporate event hotel only. The hotel has begun to cater to large events and no longer caters to individuals, couples, etc. Corporate was no more helpful in handling complaints, concerns and negative policy procedures. I will never stay again.

Beautiful property. Very attentive staff. Great rooms with awesome beach view. Cons: no jacuzzi; Beds could be a little softer but you can get a bed pad; Too many peddlers to quietly enjoy the beach. They should keep them off the beach and onto the side walk. Honestly too many peddlers everywhere in Boca grande and the old town. You will definitely feel harassed a bit.

The staff are extremely friendly. The pool is a great way of spending a relaxing day in Cartagena. The dessert chef is amazing! Overall great experience.

I will not stay at the property any longer and advise other do make a strong decision before doing so. Guest services for check in, costs, etc., are highly insufficient. Management response was not attempted or conducted. A very negative experience. Policy and procedures are archaic and cater now to large corporate entities rather than personal service.
