I loved the location of the property. You can literally walk just about everywhere from this central location. The places we did uber to were still close as well. The hotel was clean, I would say quiet, but you could hear just about everything in the room next door, especially from the bathroom. Otherwise, it was a great stay and no issues at all.

The Marriott City Center is conveniently located in Uptown Charlotte, walking distance from the financial district, restaurants, bars, museums, and galleries. The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming, guest rooms are spacious and clean, and the hospitality suite is well stocked - though unattended. Valet parking conveniently links directly to cell phones, and parking attendants are polite and work quickly to get vehicles in and out.

Great location to everything downtown and the staff was friendly. Our room was a little on the small side. I forgot lotion and there wasn't any in the room, but that's a 1st world problem. Overall, we would stay here again!

Valet prices are ridiculous $69 a day . The hotel stated it’s controlled by the city but the Marriott 2 hotels down was only $48 I thought about switching hotels because that’s highway robbery. They have the nerve to ask for a tip after 1 day of getting my vehicle

Convenient location downtown. Lobby can be very busy and hotel takes event parking making walking out through the front a little dicey. M Club staff and housekeeping were fantastic. Elevators are slow, a few creak loudly and don’t stop level with the floor, 2 of the six are only for parking garage and at least one other was out of service- there was a line to go up in the mornings and evenings. Very comfortable lobby. Range of food choices within walking distance. Walking around at night is very different than day- often homeless people panhandling by hotel entrance and taking shelter in Lynx train stop. Room door had to be pulled hard to shut making it hard not to slam and you could hear other doors slamming at all hours. Furniture needs a refresh- scratched and faded. Beds are very comfortable. Flooring in bathroom is not caulked at walls or tub- even being careful we had water run off into gaps and our ceiling had water damage lining up with where the same problem was happening above us. Front desk people, 2 ladies running M Club, housekeeping staff, and common area cleaners were all exceptional. M Club upgrade was definitely worth it. Gym is well equipped and has a spinning room and yoga/ stretch area with on demand video classes. Would have liked a pool or ability to use pool at other Marriott hotel. Good experiences with in-house dining (Stoke) and cafe (Director and Coco).

Get away

The hotel was very nice and modern. The room was nice and clean. We booked king size single bed, but the tin wasn't ready at checkin so they provided a double bed room. Will stay here again.
