Underwhelming hotel room

The staff was super friendly. But we were in an older tower of the hotel and it kind of gave me “converted hospital” vibes. That said, the common areas of the hotel are beautiful and very well designed. Next time we stay there, I will be requesting the other side of the hotel.

It is a beautiful hotel. The front desk was knowledgeable and kind. Our room was a let down though. It was really damp. The floor felt damp, there was visible condensation on the inside of the windows. The bathroom was very small but thats easily overlooked knowing its a historic hotel. The bathtub however looked like the enamel or paint was peeling badly. I would not let my son take a bath in that. We toughed it out because we spent most of our time out of the room amd didn't want the hassle of requesting a room change. If possible I recommend not staying in the manor house area.
