We always stay at the Knickerbocker when we visit Chicago. The employees are always helpful and nice and informative. My parents have been coming here for years; mostly because it is clean and relatively quiet - And the martini bar.
Parking is sometimes very convenient.

Arrived at the hotel around 10pm, checking in with the front desk staff was simple and quick, I was also given 2 bottles of water. They have a bar and restaurant in the hotel which is convenient. I had a standard King which amazingly has a living room and separate bedroom. The room was clean and welcoming, and the temperature was just right. The room has a separate bath and standing shower section within the bathroom. I guess the only thing I didn't like was the view from my room which was the back of some buildings as well as some roofs, also the elevator key readers need to be updated because they didn't read the room key right away so you have to hold them there all the way up until the doors close. It is conveniently on the Millennium Mile so there's a ton of shopping just steps away and the beach is only a block away. I'll definitely be back.

Beautiful old hotel that badly needs a renovation and a refresh. Carpet in the room was so old it was falling apart. Shower was awesome. But mattress was shot. Central location and easy access.
