The hotel is nice. It was the manager who made it unpleasant. I booked through Expedia last minute. When I got to hotel about 4:30 pm it was locked with no one around. Numerous calls went unanswered. When a gentleman finally found the manager there was no apology or any acknowledgement for making me wait over 1 hr. It was like I inconvenienced her. Again when I checked out she took key and no interaction.

This property is old but has a lot of potential. It has a historic feel and is really cool. However, it could use a refresh. It’s loud around there, as there is a club next door. But it’s super convenient and so close to shopping, places to eat and the boardwalk! It’s inexpensive and did the job for a last minute quick trip to the island.

There we NO staff on site to check me in or out. There was no staff visible during my entire stay. There was no working elevator. The furniture was shabby and some was broken. There was no shower door. The hotel location was very convenient to the downtown/boardwalk part of town

I liked how the property had a huge historical background. I also liked how it was a short walk to many shops and restraunts. The stairs only was a little tough, and the shower had some water pressure issues but it was expected for an old building.

Misleading Advertisement: There is no daily continental breakfast, it's only coffee service. Room cleaning service is hit or miss (twice for a 10-day stay) and having to chase down service is ridiculous. Some of the floorboards have screws with the heads sticking up resulting in torn socks and stubbed toes (luckily no bleeding).

The two sisters that worked there were amazing from the day I checked in to the day I checked out. They helped with what to do around island. Cannot wait to come back!!! Keep being amazing!!

Very run down, difficult to find, poor lighting and no signs, no parking. No refrigerator or coffee maker, broken toilet paper holder and shower curtain. Bars on the window and doors, noise and music from the bar next door all night and 4 am roosters at the door.
