Weekend away

Great hotel, customer service was amazing, the breakfast was ok, didn't have any bacon just sausage, eggs, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, juices, bagels and toast. The bed was really firm like sleeping on a board, and the pillows we're really soft, they kept getting smash down in the middle of the night and would have to adjust them. Would of loved a softer bed and better pillows. Went to swim during the day and the pool was really cold so we decided to go back to our room. Great location was about 20 to 30 minutes of what we had planned out to do, and close to restaurants. Wasnt too loud at night, black out curtains are awesome. We would stay again, but would probably bring some foam to put on the bed and our own pillows.

Rude desk staff

The room was very nice, can't however say the same for the front desk staff. I had reserved through Hotels.com as pay at property. The employee very rudely said "Your reservation was almost canceled, Your card declined." She also said this very loudly in a room full of people. I showed her my reservation said pay at property and she said it isn't their fault I used a third party to book. Then, told me there was a $150 security deposit. I had called the location the previous day to make sure there was NO deposit and was told NO deposit for one night as long as they had my card on file. She was very rude about this and very loud. I was soaked as it was raining outside and I had to sit in the cold lobby for 30 minutes in wet clothes while my friend went to get cash to pay the deposit. If we didn't pay a cash deposit it could take two weeks to get our money back. The stay was great except for this one front desk employee. The location should make sure the third parties know they do not do the pay at property.
