Needs major renovations

This hotel was extremely dated, old, needed updating. Mold in corners of bathroom floors. Old gross bathrooms. Hallways were grungy. The entry door to the room was so hard to open and close, as if it was stuck or misaligned. I had to push it super hard to close. I tried to lock the door and it didn’t lock. I had to get another room that did lock but was still just as outdated as the first room. The air conditioning system didn’t “auto”adjust, it just kept going and going, so I turned it off completely. Not a place I would stay at again. I do not care that it is by the water. This hotel needs major renovations.

If you are booking this property via Expedia and for a large party, i.e., multiple rooms and numerous people, then don’t bother with this location. If any of the names change or do not show, their policy will not let you modify the name and still use the room that you paid for. You will be out of money. I booked, I should be able to put whomever I want into the room. Oh and watch out for the Breakfast fee. They will Try to tell you it’s only for one person when Expedia clearly says it’s for 2.

As far as location it is a very convenient location. Easy walking to the Concrete Street Amphitheater, the American Bank Center . The rooms have amazing views of the bay and the hotel offers decent amenities, bar w/ food to order, a good breakfast and a nice convenience store in the main lobby. The rooms do need a touch of up dating, we found the rooms lacked an abundance of electrical plugs, no in room safe to lock up valuables and to have to pay 17.00 a day to self park at a hotel is a bit much. All in all tho I would stay here again

THIS WAS THE WORST HOLIDAY IN I HAVE EVER STAYED IN! DIRTY, OUTDATED, HORRIBLY IN NEED OF REPAIRS ALL OVER ROOM. NO VENTILATION AT ALL WE COUGHED AND COUPD HARDLY BREATH!! DIRT AND HAIR IN BATHTUB. EXTREME NOISE ALL NIGHT FROM TRAFFIC AND WE WERE AT FLOOR 20?!!!! NO WATER PRESSURE AND TOILET NOT FLUSHING. TOWELS FELT LUKE SAND PAPER!! HORRIBLE!!!

This property is very poorly maintained and run-down. Needs a major remodel. Windows were cover with water streaks and algea, cieling had significant water damage. Sink drain pipes were leaking. Etc, etc.

The location was great and had many options around it for food. However, the hotel seemed very old and in disrepair (really faded wallpaper, discolored ceiling paint, old furniture). It was also unfortunate having to pay for parking, especially in the off season. It was fine for a weekend trip, but the property could improve in the rooms.

Easy check-in, not free parking but it is monitored. Not free breakfast as with most holiday inn, but it is buffet. Construction around the area so expect loud noises in morning, close to downtown eateries for light night life. Walking distance for strolls on shorefront. Balconies cannot be opened for fresh air, bathroom kind of outdated. Customer service was excellent.
