Love the staff didn’t like that rooms where not ready at check in we found out later that you are aloud to stay after your check out for a price also you can only stay in the lobby after checking out even if your plane leaves late unless you pay $350 per person to stay on the premises

Traveled as a family. Beach was perfect and hotel was very clean. My child had a lot of fun at the waterpark. Everyone was very nice. We liked that it was a smaller resort and it was a chill family atmosphere. We felt very safe and relaxed the whole time. We did the Cielo snorkel tour and traveled to mainland on the ferry to go to Xcaret which we 100% recommend! Overall had an amazing time and would definitely recommend Allegro to friends and family!

The food was terrible . We have been here many times. When it was diamond resort, occidental, and allegro occidental. The A-team was the best. The A-team put on great shows. The food then was delicious. They had tables around the activity pool. The snack bar was delicious. Now just hamburgers and hotdogs. No guacamole or salsa &chips. The resort is still great. But will never come back!

The room was ok no hot water the 1st day but they got that fixed. Our biggest issue was the food, no variety and things would be out and it took forever to refill items had lunch and at dinner the same items would be on the buffet like they just brought them up from lunch. Every experience has been special and delightful. Everyone ,from employees to other guests, you encounter has a smile and hello. The rooms are comfy and kept regular clean. The beach is beautifully crystal clear and also kept clean. Food and drinks are great and always served with a smile. All services are excellent and the grounds kept clean and beautiful. Room was small but very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Only disappointment was when we went to the Italian restaurant that you have to make reservations for. The food was horrible and they only give you a small amount. Service was still great but they don’t have a grasp on Italian food.

The food at the Allegro is absolutely subpar and I question the food hygiene. Itema that should be hot are lukewarm at best. Food that should be cold is warm. This is concerning. Members of our party were sick after consuming food at the buffet. Cross contamination was a major concern. When the same utensils are being used on raw fish, pork, beef and chicken at the grill. I know many resorts recycle leftovers from the day before but the options for breakfast being the same as what was served fo4 supper every morning became tedious. Often being excited for hardboiled eggs is not the level of food I expect at any resort. There were not enough serving untensils per food items on the buffet which lead to more cross contamination. The buffet was a huge disapointment and would not return or recommend the Allegro for this reason alone. The majority of the staff are amazing. We quite enjoyed Wilma at the buffet and the female server at the beach bar who hussled all week, she always had a smile. We had several issues with our room from the toilet not working to the roof leaking, with that being said maintenance and management were quick and professional with fixing the issues. Everything about the Allegro is beautiful from the grounds, the beach, location it is so unfortunate about the food. This was our second time here, after giving it a second chance after the food issues last year. I sincerely hope that managament addresses the food issues before someone gets very si
