Camden street is a great time for pub hopping. Devitt’s has some outstanding traditional Irish fair that’s worth the stop. Cassidy is a live music pub at a reasonable volume. The Camden bar is gigantic with multiple different locations to grab a pint. The hotel was no frills but was clean and met the criteria for a decent/good place to stay.

The noise from outside was completely unbearable. We could not go to sleep before 2-230AM, until the club next door closed. We tried using ear plugs with over ear noise cancelling head phones, but nothing worked. With no air conditioning, and a window that didn't close all the way, nor having a shade over it, sleep was a huge issue. They also didn't have hot water one day and then no toilet paper for anyone in the hotel the next. The manual process of being let in the hotel for security purposes also was a challenge. On multiple occasions we were stuck waiting for someone to buzz us in or to ask questions at the front desk. Our experience was so bad, I will be seeking a refund either through or Expedient and if that fails, will be disputing the charges with credit card company.

While you’re warned about a nightclub next door in the very fine print of the listing (I mean who reads all the way down anyways), we’re thinking pulsing beats and base reverb, not full on live band with screeching guitar, hot mic and every drunk Irishman within 2km singing to every song at the top of their lungs. If you’re one of them, you may love this place, but if you plan to sleep before 2am you’re out of luck. Oh and there was no hot water either in the tap or the shower. We do NOT recommend.

The room was very clean and tidy, great that we could leave our bags here before check in. No air con in the rooms or access to a fan which was disappointing, you couldn’t really have the window open because of the outside noise. We were woke up one morning to the most horrendous constant smashing of glasses sounds, it was like sleeping next door to a recycling plant or something mechanical. Having a fan would have avoided this torture.

Hotel was in a great location, perfect for what we needed and based on the reviews it was so much better than expected. Room was clean, modern and huge. There was 4 adults in one room and we had plenty of space. The noise from the club wasn’t an issue for any of us. Will definitely stay in this hotel next time I come.

Room was 1 meter distance from the club next door. Open ferrance meant noise pounded through into our room until 3am. Earplugs provided weren’t enough to drown the pulsating music out. Room needs double glazed windows and also the terrace needs walls to make it fair on people wanting to sleep at the hotel! Not only that but the club start jet washing and bagging glass bottles at 7am so there really is only a 4he window to get any rest. Not worth the money!

We loved our stay here (group of 6). Each person had a comfortable bed. Lots of plug-ins and lights. Bathroom and shower were great - though the shower floor is very slippery! Staff were super helpful and offer discounted parking at the St Stephen’s green parkade (10-minutes walk from the hotel) if driving. Close to nightlife, restaurants and some shopping. Police presence was on lots of corners so it was uneventful and quieter than I expected.

Staying here now i have to leave the room at 5.30am in the morning for my flighr and the music from outside is still banging loud and clear. being put in a room right under neath this when you have a early check out is not the one!!! Welcoming off reception staff not very customer service wise either tried calling reception many times no answer

The Camden Hotel is Terrible. Rude staff. The room they gave us had no window that opened. It was a closet with four beds. It was terrible! It looks nothing like the photos. It is terrible. Nothing more to say.

I did not find it too loud like some of the reviews had indicated. There is no on-site parking. It was central to everything. We walked to the zoo St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and Dublin Castle. I would stay here again.

Great location. The noise level from the nightclub was over the top. It was like sleeping in the nightclub. We had to wait for the staff to ring us in from the street into the lobby and that took several minutes. Staff not very friendly. Room was clean but overpriced all things considered. There is a takeaway food location 2 doors down that was great for a late night meal. I wouldn't recommend if yoir window is ishared with the nightclub courtyard.

Excellent location on Camden Street, 10 minutes on foot to the end of the street (Temple Bar area). Has Jimmy Rabbite’s connected which had live music 6pm-2am (then music off by 2:30) which is great when you’re out but given the heatwave, made it absolutely impossible to sleep until 2:30am each night as the speakers are ungodly loud. There was also no fan/air con so it was ridiculously hot in the room at all times (also meant window had to stay open despite the music..). Extractor fan not working in bathroom either and needed to ask for extra toilet roll, towel change and hairdryer but staff pleasant and attentive with each request. Overall cracking location and I imagine when Dublin returns to its usual temperatures would be far more bearable to sleep with window closed.

Worst stay in Dublin

The location is the only redeemable quality for this hotel. It is walking distance to many shops and restaurants. However, the hotel is very old. It does not have A/C and when you open the windows the smell of old grease from the next door night club/restaurant makes it unbearable. Speaking of the night club, they give you ear plugs because the noise goes on until 3 a.m. Horrible stay with horrible customer service. The tipping point for me was waiting outside for a good 30 minutes for the receptionist to open the door. She had gone on break. It is so stupid to have a room key that won't let you in the building. Don't stay here.
