Hotel staff weeee great and helpful, especially assisting us with a medical emergency and being accommodating. Rooms are nice and clean. Hotel is very nice and clean. Location is fantastic for touring the main sights of old Ghent. Only issue with the hotel is it was noisier than previous hotels, poorer sound proofing between rooms and especially to outside. But overall a great hotel and good value!

The hotel itself is clean, well maintained & reasonably comfortable. The location is wonderful, right across the street from the cathedral. The staff I dealt with were all pleasant and helpful. However, there are a number of little annoyances. Of course there's no soundproofing so you hear every noise inside & outside the hotel. The slot for your key, to switch the power on, is not beside the door so you have to hold the door open or grope around to find it. The bathroom was very cramped with the toilet set awkwardly behind the door. There were no hand towels or face cloths, just rather small bath towels. The climate control did nothing so the room was always too warm. There were no bedside tables. The mattress was ok but not very high quality.

Ideal location next to three favorite tourist attractions. Ideal also to walk to the castle. The hotel staff was so helpful! I'm very grateful to be in a warm and friendly hotel. I love the eating and social area where when you can go in the evening, they are so welcoming. There are also games and a nice setting for visiting.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Ibis Gent Centrum St. Baafs Kathedraal hotel from Sep 6 to Sep 12 and would like to sincerely thank the entire team for their exceptional service. The hotel is spotless, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job — the room was cleaned thoroughly every day,  towels were changed regularly.The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The location is absolutely perfect: right in the heart of the historic center, within walking distance of many major landmarks and attractions. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. There was a fantastic selection of both hot and cold options, as well as a wide variety of fresh pastries and baked goods. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the outstanding service and the incredible staff. We are especially grateful for the way the team responded during a very difficult moment. My husband had a cardiac episode during our stay, and the staff (lovely Juultje and Jana) reacted with professionalism and care. They quickly asked all the necessary questions and called an ambulance without hesitation. Their calm support and willingness to help meant the world to us. It was an overwhelming situation, but their presence was a source of real comfort. Thank you again to the entire team — your kindness and empathy made a huge difference and will never be forgotten. We would definitely stay again at this hotel and recommend it to everyone staying in historical center of Gent.
