Nice Hotel

Clean, quiet, comfortable. Nice continental breakfast offered from 6am-10am. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available in the lobby 24/7. Very happy with our stay there.

We had a great stay here on a short trip to the area. The kids liked the pool (too cold for me!) and the hot chocolate. The room was clean and looked like it was recently updated. My only complaint is that the double room said it would sleep 5 but when we got in the room, there were only 2 queen beds- no couch or anything else that a 5th person could possibly sleep on (the couch in the room pictures is in the king room only). When I asked, they were very kind to give us a rollaway bed for my son, but even they said they don't understand why the room is advertised as a 5 person room.

Property was nice enough for the price. Nothing fancy, but good enough for a little staycation near home. Good coffee always available in the lobby and breakfast was decent. The major downside is they didn’t tell us when we checked in the hot water was out and the pool heater was out. This hotel is relatively close to home and we booked the night here to enjoy their hot tub and let the kids spend hours swimming in the pool. Unfortunately the pool was freezing and when we got back to the room the kids couldn’t shower because there was no not water. When we checked out the next morning it seemed they had the hot water issue being worked.

The pool was dirty, cold, and then someone threw up in it. The manager was extremely rude to guests and seemed irritated to do her job. No I.D. or CC required when checking in. Not sure I've ever had that happen before. Breakfast area is heavily trafficked so don't expect it to be sanitary to eat in. Hot water constantly shut off while taking a shower/bath. Would not stay again.

Pool water was freezing cold. Despite feeling it myself, staff waved a digital thermometer and stated "It's 78 degrees. Nobody has complained all day". Went to give my son a bath and the water was so cold he had to get right out. The next morning water there was still not hot water in the shower, but staff again invalidated my experience, telling me, "You should've had hot water on the 2nd floor by now, the hot water hasn't made it up to the 4th floir yet, but 2nd floor is ok". When I asked for a refund for my 2nd night as I planned on leaving, she scolded me for booking thru Expedia and told me she couldn't refund me but could "let me leave". Wow, such customer service, not holding me prisoner. Also, elevator intermittently worked, most of the games in gameroom took my money but didn't function. Very loud with kids running down the hall at all hours. Not a relaxing stay! The only hot breakfast item was a waffle.

Time for a Refresh

The staff is super courteous, warm and welcoming. The location is perfect for the local attractions. The condition of the building is awful. The carpets are beyond cleaning, the other floors so worn, and the entire aesthetic in need of updating. It’s just not a quality space, nor are the rooms comfortable as they are floor planned. A little investment by the corporation would change the entire experience.
