I recently stayed at Vive Hotel Waikiki in Honolulu, and it was a wonderful experience! The breakfasts were delicious, and the staff was incredibly welcoming! I especially want to highlight Arnel and Richard from the valet parking team - they were so friendly and helpful, assisting with taxis and beach gear, and they made us feel like family! Aloha, guys! Staff were great, especially Arnell and the other valet attendants who made the valet parking easy with no delays. The breakfast was really good and the provision of beach equipment which included boogy boards towels, chairs beach bags, mats etc made going to the beach 2 minutes walk away really easy. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance and of course, great beaches nearby.

We just came back from a week stay at Vive and loved it.Clean, friendly and great location.Breakfast was always yummy, beach necessities such as towels,chairs, toys, etc were always available and so convenient! This hotel exceeded my expectations. They know exactly how to enhance user experience! They provide beach props for free, including chair, towels, sunscreen, other accessories, and lets you freely put everything into a tote bag to carry to the beach. The location is prime as well. A close 3 minute walk to Waikiki, while being very close proximity to a LOT of good eats. We explored around the area quite a bit and often said our spot is the most convenient and well rounded. The service from the staff was on point. The only areas I would keep lower expectation is 1) the elevators are quite slow and 2) the breakfast quality is so-so (compared to local eats), but more than good enough considered it’s complimentary. Overall, I’d stay here again for sure. They beat out some higher star hotels I’ve been to when it comes to making everything user friendly!

The staff was amazing. Always there to greet you even if they were busy with another customer. They had everything you would need for a fun beach trip which was so convenient. The only thing was the AC in our room was making a grinding noise all day/night. I didn't bring it to their attention so not sure if it could've been fixed but that was the only issue. Breakfast was nice and simple. Easy walk to lots of dining, shopping stores, and the beach. Everything is literally right there. Will stay again. Oh! Parking is valet only. Although I wish there was another option, street parking is almost nonexistent.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location is unbeatable—right next to the beach, a shopping center, and plenty of great restaurants. It made everything super convenient, whether we wanted to relax by the water or explore the area. The staff was incredibly friendly, polite, and always willing to help. A special shoutout to Cory, who went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our stay even more enjoyable. His exceptional service truly made a difference! The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

While Vive gets 5*, Vive booking via Expedia gets a THUMBS DOWN. Booking via Expedia you get charged amenities fee, which is waived when you book directly with Vive hotel. Then the calculation changes immediately. Couple of things to note about Vive: Parking is expensive Breakfast has plenty options, but would have liked cereal and milk as well.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Decent breakfast, too! Would have loved scrambled eggs though. Anyways, the pineapple juice in lieu of orange juice is amazing! All the fruits and pastries were great! The valet parking is a little tricky, but the workers there were attentive and informative! Shout out to Arnel, Chad, and the other valet people for being so quick and helpful! Everyone here made the stay extra great! Would definitely stay here again! Also, the coffee window shop across the street was an extra perk! I had coffee there in addition to the coffee at the hotel everyday! It’s also a 5 min walk to the beach! The beach supplies provided was an excellent touch as well! Chairs, mats, bags, towels, and sun care items. Def recommend staying here.
