Staff very friendly! Fantastic breakfast served. Pool area very nice lounge chairs very comfortable. Love how they let you check out bike, wagons, chairs for free! Big tv in room. The only dislike the room smelled like mildew/ mold. The shower was old and looked dirty. I wore flip flops in the shower. I had to buy a candle to light in the room to cover up smell.

We were in town for a funeral. The staff was sympathetic and allowed a later than usual check out. Room was super clean and bed was cozy. Air conditioning kept the room just above arctic temps which we loved. Breakfast buffet had lots of options and the staff kept the hot food coming. We enjoyed sausage and eggs. Also the country gravy and biscuits were super yummy! Quick walk to the beach for an amazing sunrise viewing. We also enjoyed restaurants Sliders and Vinny’s pizza both steps from the hotel. We will be back!

From the moment we arrived at our room, it started poorly. The door wouldn't open, trying several times. However maintenance came within minutes to help us, having trouble and had to find different solutions. The room was clean for the most part, but there was mildew by the refrigerator which was rusted out, no Kleenex in the broken Kleenex box, cast iron tub scratched and nicked, plumbing fixtures that were old, with finished coming off. The bed was uncomfortable as it was extremely firm, the television volume was up and down, depending on the channel. I would not recommend this hotel.

I booked this room 2 months ago. Earlier in the day, I had checked in via a link around 5pm. When we arrived at the property, we were told there were no available rooms because their system glitched. The staff tried their best to find another location, but none of their sister companies had vacancy. Ultimately we had to drive 3 hours back home at 11pm.

Bad first experience. Would not recommend.

Check in took almost a hour. Was assigned a room that someone was already occupying. After trying to see if 3 other rooms were available we finally found one. Once entering the room we saw a roach by the kitchen sink, Alive. We went for dinner and when we got back our keys for the room did not work. The front desk guy said he accidentally assigned someone else to the room and they must have used the card. He had to give us new cards. Thankfully our belongings were still there.

The poor guy at the front desk was slammed when we got there at 4pm to check in. We got to our room and realized we had no towels so we decided to go get dinner and would get towels from the desk on our way back in. When we got back around 8pm he was still slammed at the front desk with no help in sight. We went to Walmart and bought our own towels and washcloths. When we drove back by after Walmart there was still a line in the front. A staff is only as good as the management that leads and supports. It was evident he was unsupported by leadership. We were not the only room without towels.

It’s excellent for what it is- a budget motel at the beach. The staff receives all the stars.. Shay at front desk and woman working the kitchen, housekeeping.. all top notch in customer services. Breakfast bar is typical and the same at some higher end hotels so it makes the deal even better. The room itself is clean, comfortable, big fridge with freezer, huge bathroom (we got a King room), bathtub, TV with all the channels worked great, pillows and bed were actually comfortable. The AC was a bit loud but aren’t they all?! The pool area looks splendid with nice hammocks, fun for families. It rained the time we were there so didn’t get to use. Also, the free bike rental gives this place extra points. They also offer a paid package of beach chairs and toys which is helpful. Very close to a couple beachside restaurants and bars, could hear bands playing and seemed lively. DQ is right across the street and in the same parking lot is V’s pizza which is incredible!! I’d stay here again.
