A very satisfying place to stay in Kassel. It might not be wise to wonder off at night time for being close to the train station. Very comfortable place to stay once you are inside the hotel.

A nice hotel in the centre of Kassel. Stayed here for one night on my way back from France. Parking needs to be booked in advance as the parking lot is small. The staff is polite and service-minded.

More than meets the eye

The hotel occupies a rather bland and unassuming building (like much of Kassel in general), the reception area leaves a somewhat worn-in impression. The room was quite another story, though: very clean and quiet, with everything you need, including a comfortable bed. The older lady in the reception was very helpful.

Hotel was basic but clean, the bed was comfy and staff nice, but the bedroom was cold and I needed two downies to keep warm. Expedia rated it 8 so I was surprised to find no facilities. No way to get a cup of tea in the evening. If you visit then take a kettle. You have to take your room key out with you at night as reception closes and they lock the door. It's on a heavy key ring. Would be fine for a visit in warmer weather if you take a travel kettle.
