The Kihei Akahi, opposite Kamaole II Beach Park is a fantastic property for both couples and families. Mere steps from the beach, the property features 2 pools, 2 barbeque and picnic areas, tennis courts, beautifully landscaped gardens, ample parking and onsite management and security.

Nearest Airport : Kahului at 16 Miles

Our one-bedroom condo, featuring a luxurious king sized bed, has a spacious open-galley kitchen. We did a complete renovation and refurbishment with new furniture, new appliances, new flooring, new bathroom and new kitchen in 2011. Every year since then, we have updated, maintained and refreshed the condo at least twice a year.

From the lanai of our Maui home on the third floor of the highly desired C Building, you look over the beautifully landscaped garden and across the lower pool to the ocean. Or, turn to the left and look over the upper pool to Haleakela - one of the two dramatic volcanos which created Maui. Kamaole II beach is mere steps from our door.

Our upgraded unit features tile flooring, new cabinets and granite countertop in the kitchen, new tiled walk-in shower in the bathroom with Bali beach stone flooring, new furniture and new painting and decor throughout. The condo is decorated in warm and welcoming colours which invoke the sand and shore. Sitting on the lanai, 1 level up, there is almost a courtyard feeling in the middle of the lush tropical vegetation of the Kihei Akahi garden. It is a wonderfully zen place to have breakfast or coffee. The added benefit to our location is that the inside of the condo stays cool during the day as it avoids the direct sun. Open the windows and let the sea breeze in!

Everything you need for your Maui vacation is in the unit including linens, dishes & cutlery, cooking utensils, laundry, beach chairs and toys. Well, not everything. The beach and the sun are outside and the shops and restaurants of Kihei and Wailea are minutes away. We hope you enjoy your stay in our little piece of paradise.

A note on air conditioning. Our condo is well shaded from direct sunlight and does not get as hot inside as others do. Accordingly we have an air conditioner in the living room but not in the bedroom ( which faces north). With the windows open and the sea breezes blowing, the rooms are always a comfortable temperature. If you are the type of person who needs air conditioning no matter what, this condo may not be right for you.

A note on payment schedule. The default is a single payment at time of booking. If your stay is longer than 10 days and you would like to split the payment into two, please ask before you book and I will be happy to set that up for you. (Not available for Expedia bookings, Vrbo only due to system constraints)

A note on Vacation Rentals. This condo complex was originally built as a vacation rental in the resort destination of Kihei, Maui. It is designed with the traveller in mind and was never intended as long term residence for those who live and work on Maui. No one is being displaced and so there is no need to feel guilty.
