Nice - and disappointing

Our room was really fine; spacious and comfortable. Our surprise was that, while we made our reservations on Hotels.com, the pet fee was hard to notice, and we were stunned when we arrived to see that we were charged $150 for 1 night of having a 15 lb. hypo-allergenic dog. We definitely would not have booked the Residence Inn had we been aware of that. Also, the coffee station coffee was all lukewarm, and the hot water urn was clearly not a dedicated urn for hot water; the tea tasted as much like coffee as tea.

Host at the front desk was on her cell phone when I went to check in and did not even look up to greet me until she finished whatever she was doing on her cellphone and was quite rude when she did finally acknowledge me. I booked a one bedroom suite and was downgraded to a glorified studio (Mountain View) but had to pay the original price in the amount for the suite even though I definitely did not get a suite like I had booked for. Hotel advertises as having pool on Google but pool is permanently closed. Bathroom was dirty and shower floor was stained brown. Room had multiple light bulbs out in it and did not feel very clean. Overall definitely will not be staying there again and I would advise anyone thinking about it to stay away. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

Upgrade the mattresses!

My stay was good the room was great EXCEPT… the mattress on the bed was hard as a rock and super uncomfortable! This is the only blemish to my stay! Please please please upgrade the mattresses because the current mattresses make for a terrible nights sleep and ruins an otherwise great stay!
