Nice hotel.

Jay, the host was incredibly kind and easy to chat with. He is a gem and an an asset to the hotel and its owners. Our 2nd floor room was spacious and held a clean ‘n comfortable bed. The bathroom was well maintained.The carpet is in great need of a good and thorough cleaning, though.

We only needed a room for 5 hours from 9am to 2pm. I explained this to a nice young man named Jay. I was hoping to get a reduced rate. There was no flexibility and I had to pay for 2 days. We didn’t even spend a night. Sometimes it’s good customer service to make an exception to the rules. Maybe we could have paid for one night and then an extra charge for staying 3 hrs past check out time of 11am. It would have been very nice but having to pay for 2 nights under this circumstance doesn’t seem reasonable. Maybe Coachman Inn should consider this going forward. Thank you for your time. Its close to the area I needed to be in.I stayed here 30 years ago and I dont believe it has been updated.it was clean.The hallway carpets were stained.Breakfast was limited,but ok.My room ( on 2nd floor,no elevator) did have a great mini fridge that had a very nice size freezer compartment.

Worth it?

Stains on all bedspreads. Hairballs behind bathroom door. All the towels were tinged almost like it was from rust. The price was cheap, so it was worth it to us.

The bed was comfortable, the bathroom needs updating/cleaning, the carpets in the hallway were filthy and stained, the tv did not work (this was reported to the front desk upon checking out). We saw only the person at the front desk- instruction and practical experience in customer relations might increase his friendliness. We stayed at this facility a year ago and were very pleased, hence our choice to return. That probably will not happen again.

Close to a lot of shops and tourist stuff. The room we had, almost felt like the floor was going to give out. As soon as we walked through the from door it was like a trampoline. Dirty and moldy in places. We didn't even bring in our luggage. We was in late so we stayed but I would not recommend this place unless there was nothing else available.

While our room was mostly clean, the upholstered chairs were dirty with stains and needed cleaning, and the bottom of the bathtub was stained, making it look dirty. There were also patches of black mildew near the tub. The beds were hard, and there was a cigarette burn hole in the top of one of the sheets.Walking inside the main hallway from the lobby to the rooms, the carpeting looked awful, with numerous large stains. It really needs to be cleaned thoroughly, or replaced.That alone would make the inn look so much nicer. Because of a late check-in, we did not know that breakfast ended at 9:15, which is a very odd time, and was disappointing. Our party was going to swim in the morning, but the pool was locked for the season (even though the days are still warm), and looked very dirty. The staffmember handling check-outs was very pleasant. The property is near the Kittery outlet shopping area and felt safe. Great proximity to I-95.
