The perfect hotel! The place to stay in Kyoto!

Beautiful hotel and location could not be better! It is THE hotel to stay in Kyoto right above the train station, across the street from the Kyoto tower, tons of shops and restaurants everywhere! Luxurious, clean, kind staff, simply amazing! My only constructive criticism is in regards to their breakfast which could have some improvement - the food supposed to be warm (like scrambled eggs or hashbrows) were always cold. Regardless, I would stay there over and over again. It is really a wonderful hotel and location is unbeatable!

Excellent hotel

Hotel Granvia is connected to the Kyoto Station. The location is excellent, plus all the conveniences being in the station. The hotel staff speaks English. Room is spacious compared to Japanese standard. Breakfast (Japanese/Western) is very very good. It contains many options, food is delicious, coffee is great. We will come back again.

Very friendly staff. The hotel is in a very convenient location , basically just in the Kyoto station, so it's easy to go everywhere in the city through trains, or buses. The rooms are spacious for my stay and the room amenities are superb. You can see the Kyoto tower through your window at night, such a beautiful view. The dining is very good, a variety of tasty food. Like it here, definitely will stay in the future. I would recommend this hotel.

Hotel Granvia sits above Kyoto Station, it is a very long hotel, so there maybe some walikng required before you reach your room. The rooms are spacious with everything you require to make your stay pleasent, maybe just a few more english tv channels would be nice. The hotel is in a great location and is walking distance to a lot of the big temples, shrines and big department stores. It also has the added convenience of quick access to the main train and bus services.

For convenience you can’t beat the location inside the futuristic Kyoto train station. And if you’ve got a busy schedule of sightseeing the convenient bus station in front takes you to most places for less than $2. The hotel itself is still well maintained and the deluxe rooms w/ tower view are gorgeous. However we rated them 4* for service because we weren’t allowed to drop off bags in the room at 2:40 because check in was at 3:00. We decided to head off as most sights close at 5:00 & returned to hotel at 7:30 (after dinner) to pick up keys packet which had a lot of dinner special coupons which we would’ve used if we’d been allowed to check in.
