The Space:

Unpack and settle into this gorgeous home in Bairro Alto and get ready to explore Lisbon!



The living room boasts tasteful interior decor that makes this a beautiful space in which to relax, socialise or work. After a long day of exploring the city, take the weight off your feet on the sofa and truly feel at home!



In the kitchen, you’ll find all the modern appliances you need to cook a delicious meal that you can serve to friends or family sat around the dining table (Cooking ingredients not included)



The master bedroom has a super comfortable double bed with fresh hotel-quality linens. There’s also ample storage and wardrobe space so you can fully unpack and settle in.



The second bedroom, meanwhile, features cosy two single beds, also fitted with superior-standard linens so your stay is as comfortable as possible.



In the mornings, when you want to freshen up, just head through to the two modern bathrooms, where you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the tub. Towels and toiletries are provided.



The property will be professionally cleaned before your stay.



Guest Access:

You will have the entire property to yourself. We will provide you with the products needed for it, as well as basic supplies for shower. The whole place is available.



You may occasionally hear noise from neighboring apartments, as most buildings in Lisbon aren’t soundproofed!



The Neighborhood:

Known as the bohemian district in the heart of Lisbon’s old town, Barrio Alto transforms dramatically as day turns to night, from picturesque shopping district to a creative, hip neighbourhood of trendy bars and restaurants. For the best sunset views in the neighbourhood, head to the Miradouro de Santa Catarina, a viewing platform with cafes and bars where you can meet people of all cultures. The lookout is currently closed for renovations but is expected to reopen soon with nightly live music at sunset. You’ll be able to enjoy views over the city and the river Tejo with a glass of Portuguese wine. You can enjoy a slice of Lisbon’s history by riding the beautifully restored 19th-century yellow funicular railway, the Elevador da Bica, up or down the steep hill in the Bica area.



For a bite to eat, try Bistro 100 Maneiras for a high-quality evening meal where old Yugoslavian dishes are presented alongside traditional Portuguese cuisine. If you want to try some dishes from Asia, you should go to Chiado. Meanwhile, Adega Machado is a small Portuguese restaurant hidden away from the usual tourist trail. The menu is expensive but the addition of brilliant traditional Fado music makes it worth the premium prices. For that perfect evening drinking spot, head to The Old Pharmacy; a bar of small and intimate table arrangements that used to be a working pharmacy. Alternatively, in the Lower Bairro Alto, you can visit the Park Bar where you can enjoy the views from the rooftop across the River Tejo as you sip on a drink amongst the decorative plants. Park is situated on the roof of a multi-storey car park and offers great cocktails, delicious burgers and brilliant views in a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere.



The closest pharmacy is Farmácia Loreto on Rua do Loreto 24 30, 1200-242 Lisboa. The closest minimarket is Mini Preço on Largo Calhariz 10, 1200-106 Lisboa. The closest ATM is on Praça Luís de Camões 33, 1200-243 Lisboa. All are within 5 minutes walk of the apartment.



For gourmet fine dining in the neighbourhood, try Tavares Rico; a Michelin-starred restaurant serving Portuguese and French cuisine. For somewhere a little more casual, Largo is a good option, with its location under the arches of a former convent building. The brilliant Terreiro do Paço offers some of the best al fresco dining in the city. For a seriously classy and exclusive drink, head to Silk, a rooftop bar and Japanese restaurant on the top of a listed building with 270-degree views over the city.



Getting Around:

The Baixa-Chiado metro station is a few minutes walk away from the building. Iconic tram 28 is also a few minutes away. There are plenty of buses nearby that take you to the rest of the city.



Other Things to Note:

-Check-in: Key collection is done at a Keynest store before arriving at the apartment.



-Check-out: Key must be dropped at the same Keynest store from the check-in - There will be a €50 fee for not returning the key.



-The flat capacity is for 4 people. No additional guests are allowed.



-There is an elevator for access.



-Most homes in Portugal don’t have central heating, but heaters and fans will be provided.



-Electricity: It is fairly common in Lisbon for the electricity to trip if more than two high-wattage electrical appliances are being used at the same time. Please keep this in mind when using appliances like heaters, washing machines, hairdryers, kettles, toasters, fans, etc. Guests will be charged €40 if the electricity trips due to overuse.



- If guests lock themselves out of the property OR they do not place keys in the lockbox at checkout, a 50€ fee will apply. If a guest loses a set of keys during their stay, an 80€ fee will apply.



-Please note the water heater has limited capacity. Once the hot water runs out, it will take some time for the water to warm up.



-Please be eco-friendly and turn off all the lights and electrical appliances (such as heaters and fans) when you leave the apartment.



Check-in time is from 15:00 until 21:00 (the Keynest store closes at 21:30) and check-out time is until 11:00 am. Please note that if you need a late check-in, it will require the payment of an extra fee as per the following:

- From 21:00 to 00:00h: €25

- After 00:00h: Confirm availability before booking



- Kindly bear in mind that we only provide amenities for the first days of the stay.



This fee will be collected before the check-in and must be paid by card or through the Airbnb Resolution Centre.



All guests will be required to present valid IDs before the check-in for registration to the Portuguese security authorities.
