First time visitors to Lisbon, we wanted a comfortable hotel within convenient walking distance of the city centre and attractions and we were not disappointed. We stayed in Jacuzzi Room 2 which had, as the name suggests, a jacuzzi on the balcony and wonderful views of the city and castle. The room was clean and equipped with a small kitchenette, was spotlessly clean and with very effective double glazing given the bar on the terrace below. We slept very well given the extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast is a simple buffet with cooked eggs available on request but everything is fresh and replenished quickly - the staff were a delight and nothing was too much trouble. Another treat is the all day availability of tea, coffee and delicious cake in the lounge area. We appreciated the restaurant recommendations and assistance in locating our taxi driver when it was time to (reluctantly) head home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

Exceptional in every way!

Hospitality & service were exceptional! Quiet, serene location only blocks from the train station & many shops, restaurants, etc. Spa with jaccuzi & sauna/steam room was a welcome way to relax after a long day of travel. Grear breakfast! Couldn't have been a nicer introduction to Portugal for us!

This historic property has charm in spades! Lots of nooks and crannies to discover, beautifully decorated in an old world style, a pool and small surrounding garden, and in a great location, close to the train station, restaurants and shopping. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

The experience was great. All the staff did a great job. Special mention to the Manger Ruth, who was absolutely fantastic. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a memorable one.
