Pois kaikkea ja nauti luonnonkauniin New York -yhtiön hedelmistä! Niin paljon tekemistä Sormenjärvien alueen sydämessä Waterloo-myymälöistä Watkins Gleniin! Aja viinitiloihin, panimoihin, ravintoloihin, uuteen Del Lago -kasinoon ja ostosmahdollisuuksiin. Kävele Lodin osavaltion puistoon ja vie veneesi julkiseen veneiden vapaaseen ilmaiseksi arkisin. Ota kanootti tai kajakki ratsastaaksesi järvellä.

Koko talo on hiljattain uusittu! Suuri yksityinen ajotie (paljon tilaa veneesi pysäköintiin!) johtaa valtavaan puiden reunustamaan pihalle; täydellinen ulkoiluun. Kävele ylös avoimelle esiportaalle, josta on näköinen luonnonkaunis Seneca-järvi, joka ylpeilee henkeäsalpaavilla auringonlaskuilla. Astu sisään olo / ruokailutilaan.
Sivuaukolla turvattu viehättävä tulee keittiöön. Jokainen kerros on erillinen kokonaisuus ja siinä on kaksi täysin varustettua keittiötä, joissa on graniittitasot, mukava, tilava olohuone, ruokailutila (älä unohda ylimitoitettua makuuasentoa!) sähkölämmitteinen takka ja iso taulutelevisio, kaapeli sekä ilmainen WIFI. 2 makuuhuonetta ja 2 kylpyhuonetta jokaisessa kerroksessa (makuuhuone, jossa täysi kylpyamme jokaisessa kerroksessa). Jokaisessa ensimmäisen kerroksen makuuhuoneessa on oma sisäänkäynti. Yläkerrassa on omat portaikot, jotka sopivat erinomaisesti pariskunnille tai perheille, jotka haluavat yksityisyyttä. Kysy sesongin ulkopuolella puolet talosta.

Takaisin ulkopuolelle, astu alas puoliksi yksityisen kivirannan eteen, jossa on laajennettu telakka, piknikpöytä ja palokammio (tuolit mukana!). Tutustu uskomattomaan yötaivaaseen, jossa on miljardeja kirkkaita tähtiä. Tämä on kokemus, jota et halua missata!

Lodin historia
Lodin kauppala perustettiin vuonna 1826 Covertin kaupunginosasta.
Latinalaiset tutkijat, jotka amerikkalaisen vallankumouksen jälkeen kartoittivat Seneca-järven rajoittamaa aluetta, nimesivät sen Lodi-nimisenä Italian Lodin jälkeen, joka oli korkeiden pankkien linnoitus. Seneca-järven varrella tapahtuva bluffi vaihtelee korkeudessa kymmenestä viiteenkymmeneen jalkaan. Päävirta on Mill Creek, joka sisältää 150 korkean kaskadin, joka tunnetaan nimellä Silver Thread Falls. Kenraali Sullivanin sotilaat ylittivät Lodin vuonna 1779 osana kampanjaa tuhota Iroquois Intian siirtokuntia ja tukea britteille Amerikan vallankumouksen aikana. Ensimmäinen valkoinen asukas Lodissa oli Silas Halsey keväällä 1792. Hän pystysi mökin Cooley's Pointiin (Lodi Landing). Hän rakensi ensimmäisen jauhamyllyn vuonna 1794.

Yearly family vacation

Over the span of twenty-five years, we have extensively rented properties along the east side of Seneca Lake. This year, we selected a particular cottage for our retreat, which was conveniently located near our family's cottage. The property exceeded our expectations; it provided a high level of privacy, was impeccably clean, offered ample space, and featured breathtaking lake views that are difficult to articulate. Furthermore, our host maintained excellent communication throughout our stay and provided exceptional service that surpassed our previous experiences with hosts.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This was by far the best place we have stayed.

Excellent, relaxing stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lodi Lake house. Everyone in our group of 7 commented how relaxing the house and property was. Being right on the lake, with a dock was great. The host (Bill) was attentive to us and easy to get in touch with. We especially enjoyed the bird watching at the property. All kind of birds through our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Annual October Girls Trip

This house is literally amazing. Essentially, each bedroom has its own bathroom. The big kitchen downstairs became an evening hang out! The views from the house are stunning and the owner is SO helpful and genuinely wants you to have the best time. We can’t wait for next year.

We had a great stay. The only thing that we did not know before we arrived was that it was two separate units but it was not a problem. We didn’t realize you had to go outside to get to the upstairs. The stairs are very steep, but we did not have any issues.

“Gruppi dei sei” at Lake Seneca

We were a party of six friends that have been traveling together since 2008. We have been to wineries in Napa, Willamette Valley, Temecula, Asheville, and Stanardsville, VA. We have almost always booked through Vrbo and have never had a problem or disappointment with any house we have booked. Lodi Lake House was no exception. Bill Snook, contacted me shortly after I booked house. He provided me with a list of wineries in the area along with places to eat and places of interest. Links were provided for each item on the list. Bill was available to answer any questions that I might have. Shortly after we arrived at the property, Bill contacted me to make sure that everything was ok. There was booked on the kitchen island listed emergency phone numbers, rules for the house and other important information. The house was clean, the kitchen was supplied innumerable pots and pan, two coffee makers and plenty of dishes and silverware. The refrigerator was large and had a welcoming bottle of wine waiting for us. The living room was comfortable and has a large screen TV. The house’s location was quiet and convenient to wineries, breweries and restaurants. The view from the front porch was soothing. We spent time there with our morning coffee and evening glasses of wine. The bedrooms are large and have ample space for clothes. The house wasn’t perfect, but no deal breakers!

Great place and excellent location

Perfect vacation rental for our family. The air conditioning worked great in the 90+ degree weather. We used the provided kayaks many times. The location is excellent for visiting wineries on the east side of Seneca. The house is very clean, sunsets are awesome and the communication from Bill was great. We will be back!!!

Relaxing Week On The Lake

Property was exactly as posted. Communication with owner was above and beyond from other places I have stayed. A quick text to the owner and we would get recommendations on local spots for food, fun or day trips to enjoy the hiking and swimming spots. The dock and beach area are the perfect spot to start and end your day. 6 out of 7 nights we had perfect sunsets. Can’t beat this spot. Would recommend this spot highly.

We enjoyed the house. It has a great set up and location. The host was extremely helpful with recommendations for where to go and visit. The kitchen had everything that you needed to cook while there. There are several kayaks and plenty of lifejackets to enjoy time on the water. Overall a great find that we would be happy to return to.

Perfection!

Everything was ideal! The house was spotless, the beds were comfortable, there was plenty of space to be hanging around and all of the furniture was comfortable too. Both kitchens were well-equipped, but we only used the downstairs one. The air conditioners worked well and the ceiling fans were helpful too. The screened in porch was a great landing spot for all of our stuff, the garbage was easily accessible. There were so many details that made our stay great. There are electric fireplaces for nice ambience, movies to watch, music to listen to, and books to read. But we were too busy outside! The location and view were amazing! We enjoyed sitting on the front porch overlooking the lake, we loved having our morning coffee and tea on the dock. There was plenty of seating outside by the fire pit and plenty of wood to burn. The picnic tables on the water's edge was a great spot for dinner. There was a bbq but we didn't have a chance to use it. There was also a firepit close to the house which we didn't have a chance to use either. Bill thought of everything! He also shared plenty of places to visit both for the outdoor enthusiasts and for people interested in checking out wineries/breweries and some ice cream places as well. My family had a blast using the boats and watching the family of ducks swim about the dock. Bill was quick to answer any questions and give help if needed. Our only disappointment was having to leave. We will be back for sure!

Perfect!

This place was perfect for 4 senior women hiking the area. Close to everything yet secluded and quiet. We enjoyed walking to Lodi Point State Park and watched a fabulous sunset. Would book this place again for sure.

Our stay was everything we hoped for and more. The house was exactly as shown in pictures and stated about. The owner was in contact with us to see if there was anything we needed. The location was perfect for exploring wineries and the area around the lake. Four women were very satisfied and recommend this property!!
