In 20 minutes, you can reach Alhama de Granada, where you can feel like you're in Roman times and also enjoy a spa. Wolf watching, flamingos, and the El Torcal nature park are all close to Antequera.Excursions to Málaga, Granada, and Córdoba are also very easily undertaken from here.
