Required a 100$ deposit for “if you smoke in the room” we were told it will take 3-5 business days to reimburse and hit our account. Was unaware at time of reservation. Never had to pay a deposit for a hotel before. The curtain was broken and we called them to have them look at it but they could not fix it. We did this immediately after entering the room. The coffee maker in the room wasn’t working properly. We ran out of toilet paper first thing in the morning and the cleaning staff told me I would have to go downstairs to get more and I was in my bathrobe. Only second day in room. Not well stocked at all. We asked if we could check out a day earlier as I was running a fever and just wanted to go home. The lady at the desk said she would have to check and see if we could get reimbursed for that last night and she would call the room. She never did I so I just had to sleep it off in the room. The staff was not very hospitable.

We only stayed one night. They made good use of the room. Bathroom was clean and had good counter space. The only minor hiccup is when we arrived, the front desk attendant was not there. I sent her a text I had arrived but it still took a bit for her to arrive. This was about 8:30pm.

This Wingate is GREAT!

Not the first time for us to stay at this Wingate location. It's a great stop when we're returning home (Florida) from trips to Missouri. The hotel is very inviting, the staff are always friendly, the rooms are great, love the mattresses, all the public areas are always clean and well lit and the parking lot is also well lit. The price is always great as well!

I booked the business suite so I would have a couch. My room, 105, had no couch but you could tell there was one there before. That was an upgrade but they did not discount anything for not having everything available that was on their website. Will never, ever stay there again...
