I choose this hotel in order to be near the scenic lakes and mountains of the area. It was convenient for these tourist attractions. Also, I appreciated the friendliness of the staff. There is complementary coffee in the morning. Mainly, I wanted quiet and convenient temporary lodging in the area. I am satisfied.

Average, it's Motel 6

The entrance to the motel was quirky to say the least. Small somewhat hidden driveway with a sign saying Motel 6, if you're not paying full attention you'll miss it and then it makes a hard turn right to drive towards office for check in. Only one way in and out. The room was clean and had what was needed. The sink had no hot water, if you needed hot water you had to use the faucet from the shower. One other glaring miss was a toilet lid and the toilet seat was dangling by one bolt and wss literally at a 45° angle. Fortunately I had some zip ties to fasten the other side so I wouldn't slide off onto the floor trying to drop a deuce!!

The area was very nice. The room appeared to have been updated but the hotel itself is old. The room was very small and the bathroom very confined. The air conditioner did not work well at all. Ran out of hot water momentarily during shower…If you can afford it, go with a different hotel.
