The Hotel staff at check in were superb. I checked in quite late and they gave me an upgraded corner room which was great. I think the rooms are in need of a refurb. For a 5 star they are very dull and very brown. Even the furniture is old and tired. I assume they must be doing work on some of the rooms as there was work going on everyday, which i was made aware of at check in plus a letter in the room but nothing to pre warn before arrival. The tv was not a smart tv, which you would expect from a 5 star. We ate once for the lunchtime buffet which was almost 6500 php for 2 people which i thought was way too expensive. If i had known that i would have went to Robinsons mall which is 5 minutes away. The neighbourhood is mental, very busy with lots of traffic, but that is basically Manila in general. I will be back but will probably stay in makati as there is much more going on. But i will say the staff were excellent in every way. Thank you for making stay comfortable.

Disappointment

Stayed for over a week. When I checked in I inquired with the hotel restaurant how much breakfast was. I was told it was 1400p. I decided to eat breakfast nearby for under 400p for the first 2 days. I went back to the hotel restaurant and then I was told I had complimentary breakfast. Wait a minute, I was told I had to pay. Well it turns out for the first 2 days I skipped eating in the hotel to save money. I did not appreciate the deception and misinformation. Please explain to guests what amenities are included. NOWHERE in my reservation did it say breakfast was included. I took my concern to hotel manager and got a rude attitude. Manager (Andi) offered a discount at the lounge. Placating with a discount is not what I was looking for. And I didn't appreciate the response: "What do you want, sir", with a disrespectful smirk on her face. There are many hotels in Manila. You have choices. Skip this one, you can do much better. Lesson learned for me.
