This is my favorite hotel in Medellin, which includes other Hotel Estelar chain options in town. Close to the amenities I come to Medellin to shop for or services of all kinds I want or need to utilize. Although less than a block away from main traffic arterials going in all directions, it is secluded on a side street and surrounded by tall commercial and residential buildings and trees which buffer noise and traffic flow. Estelar Blue is tranquil both outside and inside. I just spent 3 days there and never heard a sound outside my room, save for an occasional dog bark from an adjacent apartment complex. My favorite view is to the back side of the hotel where a dense forest scene captures ones focus, hiding the surrounding tall buildings, but not the birds, which this visit featured magnificent wild large red/yellow/blue parrots. Complimentary buffet breakfast presented appealingly in a nice dinning room atmosphere more than appeases ones appetite and comfort. I enjoyed sitting near the open patio window where now and then a white/yellow colored bird would drop in to grab a morsel of food I had set on the railing next to my table and then zip away. The hotel staff were always attentive and helpful.
