I've been using The Floridian for the past two years. It was great. But now...to my surprise, I saw 5 cacaroaches in the 6 days I was there this trip (zero in my prior). Is it because they let customers take breakfast food to their room? Some people bring 5 plates of breakfast. I don't know, but I hope they can resolve this. I really liked my stay otherwise.

It lit up the night!!

Everything was very nice about the motel, except that it could really use blackout shades. When trying to darken the room to go to sleep at night the lights from the parking lot just lit up the room with the sheer curtains and the finish curtains closed. The motel was very quiet, especially where it was situated and it was unfortunate that so much light filtered into the room at night. The breakfast was very good and other than the light infiltration. We were very satisfied with our time there.

For the money this was a fine hotel but no frills. Beds were good. Staff could have been more helpful/kind. Pool closed indefinitely per the sign (as of 4/2025).
