So hotels . Com didn’t have the best reviews and I believed I was staying at an ok place. Well I emailed the hotel prior to staying because trip advisor said that the place had bed bugs and I tried to get a refund. The hotel emailed me stating they don’t and are clean. We ended up staying there I had two rooms booked 508 and 514 . I seen that it was ok somewhat clean and I tried to make the best out of the trip. As we were about to go to bed on day 1 there was a bug crawling beside the night stand. I recorded the whole thing and showed the videos and pictures. It was only in one room, they said they were gonna give us our money back but then this morning they said that he wouldn’t give anything back that they’ll get lawyers to contact me. Don’t stay there if you don’t have to.!! Add

The rooms entertainment unit that the tv stands on had a door ripped off, the landline phone had no cord (was it for display), the tv wasn’t plugged in, neither was the fridge, the fridge didn’t work when it was plugged in, one of the two beds mattresses was in very poor condition and when I asked reception for extra pillows and towels, their response was “for what” definitely not worth what I paid but now what Hotel Chrome is like.

The hotel itself is pretty run down. Paid parking ($28/night) was underground but the access to the hotel was a narrow stairway. It was extremely tricky getting luggage upstairs. The shower faucet ran, not dripped, hot water all night. We had to shut the door and then the bathroom was a sauna.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Pros: The hotel was convenient, reasonably priced and clean. There is a bus stop right outside, which is very convenient and the location itself couldnt really be better. The room was spacious and clean Cons: There was no coffee maker in the room and the coffee in the lobby tasted like weak burnt popcorn. I went to grab coffee/breakfast and the side streets and St Catherine's St were under construction constantly, stank of sewer and garbage and were a bit sketchy to be by yourself if you dont have street smarts. There was a couple of bugs in the room. The restaurant which is advertised in the hotel was closed for renovations but noone was doing any work on it the whole time we were there. Overall: 3/5
