This is my 2nd stay at this property. Always great service, the view is magnificent and essentials are either available at the hotel or there is a near by store that has it. My only suggestion is getting cushioned mattress toppers or having them available upon request because the beds are quite firm and I know some ppl like a firm bed but I prefer softer sleeping but the pillows are like clouds so I did get some good sleep still. Prices are fabulous as well!!

Terrible hotel.

The hotel room was not very clean and very small compared to the pictures. Plus the ocean view was from the side of the building. Our bathroom door had water damage to it from the shower so upon arrival the door would not close. Had to go to desk and let them know so maintenance could come fix it with 4 screws, screwed thru the bottom of the door. U can hear everything in your room, from the rooms next door and hallway. The tv was so old the color had went out of in. The only trash can they provide in room is a tiny bathroom trash can. They gave us 1 quarter roll of toilet paper and told us no more will be provided until after 3 days. They gave us no ice bucket for our room. Half of the electrical outlets in the room did not work. The hotels WiFi was very slow and unable to work my child’s phone or tablet. Somebody was smoking in their room near mine and everytime we would use our bathroom and the fan would come on, it blew cigarette smoke straight into our room. Made our whole room smell of cigarettes. I made a complaint with the desk and the only thing she told me was they can’t enforce hotel rules on that floor because they had a permanent resident that lived up there. I spent over 800$ on this hotel for 2 days and 2 nights and i was very disappointed. I could have stayed at a super 8 or red roof inn and had that same experience and saved half the money. So if you are thinking of staying at this hotel. I hope and pray ur experience was better than mine.

What are you Doing to Your Employees?

The customer service of the evening shift employees may be the worst I’ve ever experienced in all of my travels. Over the course of my 2 night stay, the hotel made a myriad of mistakes (ie hidden parking fees, locking us out of our room on the 9th floor, tissue-paper thin bedsheets (no comforter), a broken microwave + burnt out lighting fixtures, virus-loaded WiFi, the unlockable balcony door, and so, so much more). Did the employees offer a grain of hospitality amidst this torrent of dilapidation and oversight? Not a grain. In fact, I felt guilty for being there every time I had the misfortune of passing through the lobby and receiving their slow-blinking, zombie-like glares of derision (despite exchanging only a handful of “thank you”s and “I appreciate it”s in totality). Never have I paid hundreds of dollars to feel like such a burden. Upon returning home from “vacation” I felt only stupidity for having been duped with a cheap, “good” time. If anyone does choose to stay at Myrtle Beach for their vacation, don’t make the mistake I did. Pay the extra $100, $200, even $300 a night if you’re able and go someplace where you have a fractional chance of feeling wanted. If you’re unable to pay for somewhere nicer, just find lots of things to do outside of this cold, liminal, depressing hotel. — And don’t forget to bring your own room keys, comforter, balcony lock, microwave, lightbulbs, VPN, and love for life, because I promise you: you won’t find these items at Sun N Sand.

Older hotel but has had renovations. The room was big and the shower was clean. Loved the new back deck added to the property. The only thing was room service was knocking on door to get out of room at 9:30am and ceckout wasnt until 11.

Great vaca!

We stayed 3 nights and it was a very nice stay. They were still making improvements but it was very nice. We stayed in asking room, it was small but perfect for 2 people. The bathroom was a dream with the granite shower walls and glass doors. The balcony was the best. There was a full view of the ocean and beach.
