Our experience was awful. We booked through Expedia. Upon arrival we were told we did not have a reservation. They then “found my reservation” and said it had been canceled and told me to contact Expedia. I did and Expedia customer service said nothing was canceled and I 100% had a confirmed booking. They asked to put me on a brief hold to call motel 6. I was standing in the lobby and could hear the phone ring multiple times. The front desk woman that day did not answer the phone. Then told me she refused to answer because there was no manager to talk to Expedia and she refused to. Then proceeded to tell me my reservation was canceled and there was zero rooms available. We were in Newport for my brothers wedding and had the rehearsal dinner that we were running short of time. So my husband and I went out in parking lot frantically looking for other hotles in the area. Motel 6 popped up saying they had THEEE available rooms for that night. So my husband went back in and showed the front desk clerk. She began to tell him that the internet was wrong and there was none. After a few minutes she said let me call my manager and come back in in 5 minutes. My husband waited and went back in. In 5 minutes. Magically she had a room for us. It was 10min of 5 (5 was the start of my brothers wedding rehearsal dinner) so we ran to our room and quickly got ready. When we entered the room was filthy. Pee in the toliet. Hair all over bathroom sink. We checked out next morning.
