This elegant hotel is ideally, centrally located and the grounds are lovely. The hotel staff and concierge were most helpful in assisting us in making reservations for restaurants and events.

We had the loveliest time at La Quinta Real. The hotel was stunning, and the pool area was so beautiful and perfect for lounging. The breakfast was incredibly good. Above all, I can’t say enough good things about the service from all of the staff. They were all so kind and we were so well taken care of during our stay. The front desk staff were so professional and helped us book private taxi drivers for trips to Hierve El Agua and Monte Alban, and they never steered us wrong with their recommendations. The location of the hotel was perfect for easy sight seeing as well. I can’t recommend this place enough! We will absolutely be staying here the next time we are in Oaxaca.

Loved the historical details and beautiful outdoor setting especially the pool area and gardens of this former convent. Our room was a superior room on the second floor with a nice renovated bathroom. The room was small but cosy and the beds were very comfortable with high quality linens. We enjoyed our 4 night stay here for the most part. Breakfasts and the dinner we had were delicious! Most front staff were very courteous and helpful; however this morning when we checked out we were accused of taking water from the mini bar ( which we hadn’t) Not a great way to end what would have been a 5 star stay. My husband offered to pay for the water but I assured them we didn’t take any then I had to sign a form re this!! Also some of the other staff didn’t seem happy working there, particularly some breakfast staff and concierge? seemed annoyed when we asked for more bottled water. For the high price that this hotel charges all staff should be trained to treat their patrons well and a smile goes a long way.

Lovely place but they should warn guests there is no elevator and climb to the second floor is strenuous! We are 82 and 87 and it was a challenge.

A gorgeous property with tip-top service, but priced accordingly. We stayed in the smallest, most modestly priced room which was a bit cramped, but appointed beautifully. This is the sort of place with uniformed staff and maid turn-down service that leaves chocolate treats and a personal note on the bed. Even our small room was pricey. But the exquisite environment made up for the tight sleeping space. This sprawling 500-year old convent has massive stone walls, high-ceilings and beautiful manicured courtyards. You can get lost in the many corridors, plazas and gardens. It is right in the heart of town -- walkable anywhere. But the best part is that it is a haven of calm and quiet in the midst of the traffic and tourist chaos. A great joy is having a cold drink and watching the exotic birds in the courtyard trees. Highly recommended, if you can afford it.

Truly beautiful and historic hotel with so much class and character. Made our stay in oaxaca memorable. Wait staff at breakfast (which was ample, Varied and delicious) needs improvement bur otherwise service was excellent. AC in room was not comfortable as it blew cool air directly at one's head, until we learned that the window could be opened.

Centrally Located Oasis in Oaxaca

Loved our stay at Quinta Real in Oaxaca. Staff was very helpful, pleasant. Security at front door all day and staff made sure transportation arrived and travels were secure. Greeted with hospitality cocktail at checkin. Nice inside and courtyard, pool and very comfortable rooms
