We stayed for a short weekend getaway, check-in was smooth and efficient. The resort had just about everything you could think of at a reasonable price. The concierge was helpful providing proper directions to the unit. It was a clean unit with a comfortable bed and great patio for winding down in the evening. The only problems I had that made me rate this stay at a 4-star instead of a 5 was parking in the evening as slots for parking quickly filled by night time forcing a long walk back along with some of the people in carts driving a little too dangerous at times. Otherwise, it is definitely worth a shot to book this unit as everyone was kind and very helpful. The location is perfect as well with great dining options and a walmart down the road for supplies.P.S. There aren’t ice machines, but front desk will gladly provide a lb of ice free of cost along with other amenities if needed!

Host book the reservation at Westgate lakes for us. Apparently something got screwed up and he decided of two reservations. Westgate originally had us checking out at 8:00 a.m. and coming back at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday to get a new room. Fortunately they were able to help us. I reached out to the host to ask what happened and he never responded. In addition, the room that is pictured is not what we got. In addition, the room was dirty, we had blood on curtains, there was a whole in the wall stuffed with paper towels. This was the worst host experience and location we've ever stayed. If I could give 0 stars I would.

the host just gave me a 1 star for their lack of communication and they're agitation. But I'm focused on gratitude. I I did not see that I received emails check in emails from the host. I ended up messaging the host on VRBO. However there was no response back in the phone number that was listed as the host said it was out of service naturally being in a place where I’m far away from home I was concerned that I would not have a place to stay because I had gone to my event and we were checking in at 7 PM at night. I ended up calling VRBO and they looked up the host and connected me with the host where then the host cursed me out, called me a series of names,and said that I needed to learn how to read. He also said that he did not have time for me. Once I found out from the VRBO customer service rep that this was a legit reservation. I was at ease the VRBO Rep* then told me where to go. Check in the host never helped me that’s OK for me because again I am focused on gratitude and faith. I hope this is not happen to someone else.

Great place! Horrible rental manager!

I would totally stay at Westgate again but i will book directly in the future. Jake/Jay (he uses 2 names apparently) was very kind and accommodating in the beginning… BUT as we got close to check in time he completely snapped. I called Westgate Lakes a week before our check in and they had no reservation for us, when i approached Jake with this information, he went completely off the handle on me. He called me screaming at me, saying i was the worst guest he had ever dealt with. I kept trying to end the conversation and he continued verbally assaulting me. I had literally done nothing but told him i was concerned that Westgate didn’t have a reservation for us. I recorded part of our conversation as well so i have proof of this. When our actual check in came, Westgate still had multiple issues with our reservation, which Shannon at the front desk helped us solve thankfully. Apparently they also have frequent similar issues with Jake/Jay and his “rental business”. In summary i would NOT recommend renting with “jake” but i do recommend the westgate lakes property in Orlando! If anyone at VRBO wants to contact me further about this i would be glad to chat.

Quick Getaway

My boyfriend and I decided to go on and quick getaway for some rest and relaxation. Once I saw that this resort’s properties was listed on this site, it was a no brained where we would be staying. Great property with a lot of amenities. It’s always a pleasure to stay here. The host was also very responsive. I definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to travel to Orlando for a stay.

Family Trip

Stayed four nights for a family trip. Overall the resort was fine , most of the staff was friendly and kids enjoyed the amenities such as pool and mini golf. Paddle boats weren’t working. Also tried the mini bowling, which of course was extra, but price was reasonable. Very hard to find parking near our room each night. Had to park very far away. As far as our actual room, not that great. Upon entering it smelled musty, probably from wet carpet through time. The room looked dated, the pull-out couch was old with scratches and such on it. Listing said it was a “Queen” pullout but it wasn’t even a “Double” size. It was small and disappointing. Mattress was so thin and it wasn’t even wide enough to reach the edges. It was very uncomfortable to sleep in to say the least and made so much noise anytime you moved. Description also said “larger than a typical” hotel room, but I’ve stayed in many hotel rooms and it was definitely smaller. To start, we usually have two king size beds in our hotel room, with a sitting or desk area, so there’s definitely more space. At least we were out all day so we weren’t in our crowded stuffy room much until night time. The mirrors were old with the black stains and the liner inside shower looked old too. I would recommend adding towel hooks because there was no where to hang our towels and have at least one luggage rack to place our luggage. Overall wouldn’t stay here again.

After a day in the parks, having a place that’s close by to drive to is the best. Staying here is much more affordable than on-site at the resorts and we had a beautiful room with a HUGE screened in balcony. It was great!

Birthday Getaway

The property was perfect for a good weekend get-away for a birthday. We had no need to leave the property and got to fully enjoy everything there was to offer in the resort. As for the studio room there was nothing to say negatively. The view was beautiful for sunrise and sunset. We will be coming back in the future guaranteed

Great resort

Great stay. Excellent experience. Listing was misleading as it wasn’t obvious there was no free wifi provided. Also I was certain that the booking said we had free access to the water park but wasn’t the case. I’m not sure if smoking was permitted on balconies but every morning I could smell cigarette smoke and I had to leave the balcony. I would love to see the buildings be completely Smoke free if they are not already. Otherwise I have nothing but good things to say. Fast friendly service. Ample parking. Lovely rooms. Great amenities. Loved the pool and hot tub.

Excellent stay

The property was exactly as described. We were traveling for an event at the convention center. We rented a car from the airport, so no shuttle service was not an issue. We stayed during the week and it was very peaceful & quiet. The bed is very comfortable.
