Upon my arrival I found I unfortunately didn't have my id. I wasn't flying so I didn't have my passport and they wouldn't allow me to check in. They wouldn't except my husband's id since he wasn't on my reservation. Lesson: always include your travel partner on the reservation. I was so upset. The front desk clerk was no help at all. She was dry and offered no suggestions. She showed no empathy at all. Being in the hospitality industry this is unacceptable. The guest behind showed more concern. He actually suggested I call the hotels 800 number and add my husband to the reservation and then they'll accept his id which I did. God bless him. After all that we check in go upstairs and they give us a room with a double bed. I reserved a king room. They intentionally put us in a double without explaining because they overbooked. We had to go back downstairs to have them put us in the room I paid for and reserved. So unprofessional. That's not the customer service I ever expect from a hotel who is supposed to specialize in customer service. I was already late for an important event- this added stress made this worse. It wasn't the clerks fault I didn't have my id and I would never want her to do anything to jeopardize her job but she could have been more helpful, empathetic and honest. Very disappointed and angry at lack of support.

Someone had been in my room prior to me checking in. They used the bathroom, shower, and obviously had been in the bed. The bed was not freshly made, the sheets were very wrinkled, stained, and dirty. The bathroom counter and sink had whisker shavings as if someone had shaved, the shower floor was wet and pubic hair was noted. Whisker hair was in the bed along with skin cells and crumbs. I had to go to the front desk and request all new bedding. The night shift crew is not very friendly. I was told that I took the last room available and I assume that the staff had gone into the room to shave, shower, and get them some rest prior to me checking in. I do not know what this world is coming to.....Absolutely disgusting!!!!
