Great place to stay in Portimao, close to the main beaches and restaurants. Very convenient and walkable. Also, a great base if you are doing day trips to other areas in Algarve, such as Albufieri and Lagos. Many reviews have mentioned the great breakfast, and it is, but it is the hospitality of the host, Mohammed, that is exceptional. The staff are great and the property is very well maintained. Would stay again.

Charming hotel on a not charming street

This little hotel truly was charming, but sadly it was on the most un charming street I’ve ever experienced in a resort town. It really belongs somewhere else entirely but if you ignore the context, the room was great. The balcony was nice if not the view. The people that work there seem a little stressed so that wasn’t relaxing, but the breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had at a hotel and it was included in the price.

Amazing location and staff. They were extremely hospitable and friendly. Situated steps from the beach. The property itself is beautiful. Our room was so spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was great!

Pro: The hotel was nice, clean, quiet and staff was extremely nice. Its location was excellent, including a five-minute walk to the beach. Con: The parking situation was frustrating and inconvenient, as the hotel charged €10 per day for parking but required guests to park in front of other cars. This meant frequently having to move your car to let others out, which detracted from the overall experience.

Loved everything about my 3-day stay here

The whole hotel, lobby, halls and room, smells like fresh laundry, the best smell ever! Newly renovated, stylish and chic, think white/silver/grey/glass/high ceilings and mouldings with the most amazing wooden floors . Low season so there wasn't always someone at desk but he was available to me for anything in a flash, absolutely lovely person. Location was 20 second walk to the stairs for the beach. There are two beaches, be sure to find the little cave in rocks that takes you from one to another. Rocha Beach, doesn't really get better than this.

We had a wonderful 7 night stay at Villa Mariazinha. The breakfast included was amazing! Staff very helpful and attentive. Great location near the main shopping and restaurant area and the beach!

The hosts were warm and welcoming. Each morning you are served a fantastic breakfast of cheese, ham, eggs, bacon, crepes, breads and fruit. The rooms are clean and decorated beautifully. The proximity to the beach is very good and there are a variety of restaurants to chose from for dinner. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.
