Perfect hotel for a stay in Porto. A fair walk to the centre and beach but if you like walking and exploring it’s perfect. The spa is good too. The staff were all brilliant when dealing with requests. Will look to stay at another Editory hotel in the future.

It can be much better for 5 stars

You don’t have sufficient personnel in key positions that speak English. Not enough personnel in housekeeping waited to get pillows and towels for two hours, again the front desk does not answer the phone because they are too busy, not enough personnel. The phone in the room did not work, the security box needed the battery replaced. Coffee the room only for one.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. There were lovely touches like a free drink up on the rooftop bar, pastel du nata and port in our rooms which were great The staff were so kind to our two young children, giving them colouring and talking to them so kindly. Great Hotel

The hotel had lots of amenities and excellent service. The roof top bar was wonderful place to scope out the city and make plans from. The catered food during the work event I was there for was also excellent.

They should definitely not use beige carpet in a hotel. It looked absolutely filthy. The hotel itself is presented well, however, the beds are extremely hard. We had advised them our air was not working in the room and it took on the third of our fourth night Stay for them to come and claim it was not working and moved us to another room, which was extremely inconvenient. It is also a 15 minute Uber ride downtown. I will pass on staying here again. Definitely not five star.
