A very comfortable and pleasant room, efficient and welcoming staff, and the breakfast was tasty and filling. Nothing to complain about within the powers of the staff, however it was a bit disconcerting when both lifts spent some time out of action during my stay.

Check in was average, food and bar service was poor. Food quality was poor, perhaps the worst pizza I've ever eaten.the sofa bed was tired and noisy so the children didnt sleep well. The best part was the customer service from the leisure centre staff.

Room was clean but compact. The mattress was torn with the stuffing coming out. At check in we were told there was a large group in the restaurant at 6pm and was advised to wait until 7pm. As there were only two of us and we don’t like to eat late, we went to the restaurant at 6pm to be told it was closed to general guests until 8:30pm. Fortunately the restaurant greeter was helpful and found us a table in the bar by removing a reserved sign. Also told it was going to be the same the following so we ate out. On site car parking is very limited.

A lovely stay.

A lovely stay in a huge family room! Room very clean. A double bed and a pull out sofa bed. Complimentary tea, coffee, water, 2 cans of pop, biscuits and a Kit Kat. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel all in the room. Clean pool and gym. Towels provided. Car parking £5, free for disabled. Everything you want for your stay.

The swim area needs updating and the breakfast was terrible there was nothing left when we arrived and the staff only brought out a few bits of bacon. We gave up in the end and left. The room was nice though

Very noisy

Not too bad for just one night, we were on the ground floor very noisy dozens of smokers standing outside our room talking. The slamming of doors that shakes the room, bed gave me a backache. Not sure we would want to stay again.

Very scruffy

The whole place is very shabby,lots of deteriorating windows carpets etc,very scruffy place needs a total refit,there was stuff jus shoved in corners everywhere,won’t be going again!

Room was comfortable and clean. Could do with body lotion in the bathroom. Pool area, sauna and steam room all good and clean. Nice breakfast but 9.30am today some of the buffet was poorly stocked and I was met with a grumpy response when I asked if there was any more fried bread

Holiday inn 5*

We only stayed for 1 night but the staff were very helpful polite & friendly. Its location is perfect everything is just a short walk away. Great clean hotel will be returning in a few weeks time.

Portsmouth over 4 days

Mini break. Hotel in a good position for walking and seeing the sights by foot. Car remained in car park for 5 days. (£5 daily) Bought breakfast when booked as £5 each daily, very good deal inc buffet and cooked. On busier days things weren’t topped up inc crockery. Helpful, friendly staff. Pillow really uncomfortable, I asked for another and soft one left in room for me 👍 Didn’t use the pool or gym due to walking so much instead. Took a Hovercraft to Isle of Wight. £22.20 return each (over 60) for the day. Plenty of crossings. Arrives in Ryde. Buses around the island from there. Your bus starts end of May. Portsmouth really clean and friendly. Also the toilets were all open and free!! Harbour walks were so clean, no dog poo or litter. Lots of green spaces where families and teenagers having BBQ and playing sports, lovely to see so many enjoying themselves. Great weather made for a great break. Did a harbour cruise, informative £11 each. If u go to the harbour museum u can buy a ticket to do all 3 ships, sub and includes the above harbour cruise. Although £51 u can repeatedly visit within the year. We had left it to late to get the most from this ticket. Our first visit and we would definitely come again and recommend to others.
