The hotel was very nice for how old it was. There is no food available anywhere on the resort past 10pm. They do have room service, but the food was terrible. We tried multiple things on the room service menu and they were all gross. There is only 3 restaurants besides the buffet and you have to have a reservation and we were only able to get one reservation for the entire week we were there because they only serve 10 people every 2 hours for 4 hours, so we had to eat at the buffet the whole time. The food was not very good and it is closed after 10pm. The staff was very unkind to Americans. Us and 2 other American couples said the same thing. The staff members were visibly rolling their eyes at us when we requested simple things like drinks or snacks. They did not appreciate that our spanish wasn't very good. We were told that this resort was great for people who didn't speak a lot of spanish because english was spoken at this resort and that is not the case at all. We know enough to order food and drinks and have light conversation, but we aren't fluent. We were told that this resort was very good for American tourists because english was spoken at this resort. The rooms were kept very clean and tidy and we did appreciate that a lot. The cleaning staff were the nicest staff members we encountered. They do enter your room to bring you gifts if you are a Viva club member and I did have someone walk in on me while I was changing. They just scanned their card and walked in.

Disappointing Stay — Not Worth the Hype I had high hopes for this resort, but unfortunately, my experience was below average. The biggest issue was cleanliness — I found random dead roaches in the room, which was both unsettling and unacceptable for a place that markets itself as a relaxing getaway. The food was extremely underwhelming — repetitive menus and poorly prepared dishes made it one of the most disappointing parts of the stay. My favorite foods ended up being the mango and the ice cream — which is pretty sad for an all-inclusive resort Service was just okay — not terrible, but definitely not warm or attentive. There’s a lot of room for improvement in both attitude and responsiveness. Overall, the resort did not live up to expectations. I wouldn’t recommend it unless major changes are made in cleanliness, food quality, and service.

After undergoing quadruple open heart bypass, my boyfriend and I needed a mental relaxation vacation. Viva Wyndgam Samana was the correct place. This place is quiet and relaxing. The beach in this property is amazing. The water is crystal clear blue. The staff are friendly and very attentive. They only have 2 A la carte restaurant. The option, for me, were not good. The buffet section was pretty good. Overall, this resort will be the to go place when i want to have a super relaxing vacation.

We stayed 7 days for our honeymoon and it was honestly the best! The staff were kind and patient. If they could not understand me (as we were speaking English), they got someone to help me. We booked a bungalow room and it was spacious, extremely clean and the pool was amazing. We did not leave the resort but at no time did we feel that we were bored. My husband did find the food at the buffet to be a little bland and repetitive but there was a snack bar and room service to choose from! I would recommend anyone to book their stay here! We would definitely returning for a future trip!!!!

Saludos, es bello el hotel, inspira tranquilidad y oportunidades para relajarse mientras tomas sol. Accesibilidad para conocer el área por tu cuenta. Recomendaría mejorar las actividades y entretenimiento… ofrecer más actividades diurnas. Lo más que enfocaría mejorar es el menú de comida, un snack bar con hamburguesas sin queso no es un snack bar, nachos sin queso, pizza sin parmesano o pique, más variedad para todos los gustos. También, en lo que escoges que comer la comida se te enfría al llegar a la mesa, encontré demasiado frío al comer al momento en el buffet. Los restaurantes a la carta sobretodo fusión nos impresionó.

Great place to stay and very clean. Great food and drinks. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Just beaware of the "managers breakfast" they will ask you to join, its a hard sales tactic to sell a $10K wyndham membership.

Overall, the stay was good. Points for improvement: *Check-in took over an hour because the rooms weren't ready. *In the room, there was no soap in the bathroom, only liquid soap, which is unusual. *There was very little furniture in the room. There was no small desk or extra chairs, just the bed. I understand they should review this. It's not just lying down; there was nowhere to sit.

Viva V Samana by Wyndham is a very good hotel, the property is clean, and services are good. Staff at the hotel are friendly, and there is entertainment at all times. I think is best to fly to Santo Domingo if traveling international, I flew to Santiago and the road trip was too long, but very interesting. I had a good stay at the hotel.
