We really enjoyed our overall stay at this property — the room was comfortable, and the experience inside the hotel was great. However, there are two major issues worth pointing out.
First, the windows in our room were very dirty, which made it hard to fully enjoy the view we paid for.
Second, and most importantly, the parking experience has been a nightmare. While our car was parked in the hotel’s lot (for which we paid over $100 for two nights), corrosion from the ceiling dripped onto our car. At first, we didn’t realize how serious it was, but after washing the car, the paint peeled off both sides, leaving us with over $1,000 in damage.
When I called the hotel, I spoke with Ashley (the operator). Instead of offering any accountability or support, she told me to “contact the owner of the parking lot” — even though this is the Marriott Marquis parking lot. When I pressed for help, she became dismissive, pretended not to hear me, and then hung up on me. This was shocking and extremely unprofessional.
I now have to go through my insurance to fix the damage, but I’m very upset that a hotel of this caliber would wash its hands of the problem so quickly. Guests deserve better support and accountability, especially when parking is this expensive.
