Don’t stay in a room near the front

Very loud all night and day. Had someone banging around until after midnight in the reception area. I imagine it’s quieter the farther you get away from the front.

Stayed in one of the motel style rooms. It was pretty cramped. It was listed as a king with pullout sofa. If you pulled out the sofa, it butted up against the king bed... requiring you to climb over the beds in order to move around the room. I would not stay there again if traveling with a 3rd person/child.

Terrible management

They suddenly closed down their breakfast restaurant for repair, and their continental breakfast was an orange a terrible wrapped muffin. This place should be ashamed of themselves. Then they charged an extra $200 for facilities fees.

Great, clean place

Cute & clean. Front desk clerk was not too friendly. Travelers might like a smile or sense of welcome. It's just part of the experience. I felt like we were a chore to be dispensed with. I'd give her the benefit of the doubt as maybe there was something difficult in her day, but that attitude should not continue. We liked our room and liked otherwise the ambiance here, so we will come again. But if we find the clerk is similarly not too friendly next time, I'm going to call the Inn's manager.

Want to get away?

A return visit. Checked in late but was met with a friendly staff member and made to feel welcomed. The complimentary cookies are tasty but highly recommend asking about any allergens. The facility is nestled in the middle of a beautiful forest while sounds of a bubbling creek and the local critters fill the air with their melody. Absolutely gorgeous. The grounds were very tidy but allowed nature to be ever present. There is a Water Mill smack dab in the center that adds to the story book setting. If you’re looking to get lost a short ways from reality…this is the place. Check it out for yourself. The cherry on top, the beautiful City of San Luis Obispo…wonderful people, food, shopping and art districts. Definitely a GEM on the GoldCoast.
