I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Though it’s right behind the airport, I never heard a single plane. My room was very comfortable, and I did not require any maid service during the week that I was there, but when I needed extra towels, they were provided. The best part about this hotel if you’re being an economical traveler is that it’s very affordable and that there is also a local bus stop right on University Parkway which can take you downtown Sarasota for $1.50 or less. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff is not necessarily knowledgeable about the area, but very friendly and very serviceable. There’s also a nice little bar. We couldn’t get the best dessert! And there is a large area for having breakfast too! If you need it, there is a microwave in the lobby that guest can use. The hotel does have the cutest little touches everywhere, including the bathrooms.! The only cons are that’sthe elevator smells like some cat had peed in it. And that’s a problem for a lot of hotels that allow pets. The other is said it doesn’t have a shuttle to the airport. That means you’ll end up with a $11 rideshare drive to something that is less than five minutes away. You could take the number 2 bus which goes to the airport or you could walk. Depends on how much luggage you may bring.. All in all was very satisfied with my stay and I would highly recommend staying here and I will be staying here for future visits to Sarasota!
