When we arrived to check in we were told our room wasn’t ready. We waited over an hour past check-in time for our room. We had been travelling for 9 hours with two kids and just wanted to get our room so we could shower, change and go for dinner. The price of the rooms is not cheap! So I expect to get what I paid for! I paid for a room from 4pm-11am! The fact of the matter is you can’t stay past check out! That’s not allowed! So how is giving someone their room late acceptable? The two staff members were rude, unapologetic, and just lacked professionalism. When asked the reason that our room still wasn’t ready we were told the maid service “was just lagging” We spoke with the manager after the staff member at the front desk couldn’t do ANYTHING to help. (That staff member doesn’t seem to enjoy her job. I caught her several times rolling her eyes at customers and her attitude was very obvious that she was annoyed by everyone who walked in for her to check in.)The “manager” wasn’t much better. We decided to stay at this hotel because we had stayed there before and really enjoyed it. This time we brought our family (so we brought more money for the hotel!) We will NEVER be coming back to this hotel when we visit Savanna again. The customer service was so awful it has completely soured our experience. Won’t be giving this hotel another dime in the future. Hiring good professional staff especially when it’s dealing with customer service is key. Horrible experience

Walking distance to all the best places to site see and directly across from the river with all its historic buildings, roads, and walls. Each morning's breakfast was hearty and tasty. Hot water from the tap instantly!

Front desk should not tell you that they will take $50.00 off per night and then say they can’t do that. I’m also a IHG member and a military veteran and she still couldn’t help us out. We had to pay another $246.00 for the two nights . That’s as much as another night. This is an issue for all guests. The elevator certification was expired. I have a picture to prove that.
