Gorgeous views, excellent evening meal and breakfast and a really comfortable bed. Will be coming here again and again. Thank you.

Away days

Pros: Scenery
Cons: Decor, varied room rates to address size and location in hotel
Location: Plenty to do
Room very disappointing, smal cramped, drab, very tired building. Staff welcoming. Breakfast expensive, poor choice, e.g. packet cereal little choice, eggs swimming in oil, but sausages lovely. Grounds and scenery lovely.

The grounds and location are simply breathtaking.

Pros: Again, the grounds and location - the view of the North Sea. Utterly perfect.
Cons: Air conditioning. But installation would probably ruin the entire atmosphere, not to mention the cost and ugliness of construction.
Location: We hiked the cliffs above the North Sea and strolled around the gardens.
I understand it was unseasonably hot when I was visiting, but the lack of air conditioning in the entire hotel made my stay uncomfortable. However, the friendliness of the staff and the beauty of the grounds and surrounding countryside, made it very worth the stay. I am sure that if there was proper English weather of damp, cold and rainy, it would have been absolutely perfect.
