Beautifully restored apartment building in the city of Springfield. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hot and individually prepared. One of the best stays we have experienced!

Just lovely

Lovely place to stay in Springfield. They’ve done an excellent job with the decor. It’s very quiet and clean, and it’s nice to have both free parking and free full breakfast. Great location.

Upon arrival we were greeted by staff and they gave us lots of information about the history of the house, which was very interesting. The room was clean and comfortable. The decor is period and it was fun to shower in a claw foot tub original to the home. The breakfast was delicious! Individuality prepared and served fresh! Within walking distance to many of the Lincoln attractions. The Lincoln Presidential museum (suggested by hotel staff) is a must see! Such an enjoyable stay we will be booking it again for our return journey!

Charming and comfortable

The staff were remarkably kind and accommodating. We arrived in the early evening for a funeral the next morning. They allowed us to leave our car in their lot after we checked out so we could walk to the service at a nearby church. Breakfast was delicious. It was lovely to stay in a proper B&B.

Breakfast was very nice, chef Kyi is great and very friendly. All of the staff were nice. Night time delivery of fresh baked cookies (delivered in little baskets) was a very special touch. Plenty of on site parking, well lite. Only downside is a nearby train that we could hear, periodically through the early morning hours.

Historic Inn in Historic Springfield

Lovely place to stay. It was my 2nd visit. Easy access to everything in Historic Springfield. The architecture and interior of this historic property is beautiful. It was built in 1990 as apartments and later converted into this 7-room Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in the Rose room, which had a comfy large sofa and 4-poster bed that was so comfortable - slept so well! This room has both a jetted bathtub and a large shower with dual shower heads. The breakfast was very nice; scrambled eggs and french toast but also continental if you want to grab and go. We had yummy chocolate chip cookies waiting for us. So appreciative of this small but wonderful surprise.
