Terrible experience. Not coming back.

Went for a weekend trip for a cardinals game and could not have had a worst experience. The sewage was backing up and smelling up the bathrooms in the pool area. Our fold out mattress had blood stains and it was was too pricey for what little you actually get. I stayed here 10 years ago and it was great. Just sad how fast the standards have fallen. Stay somewhere else.

We arrived in Saturday at check in time (4pm). I've never seen a line so long in my life. Waited in line for 25 minutes to check in to be told to hop in the elevator line. They have 3 small elevators for the entire hotel, one is for the rooftop bar which was absolutely crazy as a Cardinals game had just ended. The other two small elevators were shared between the staff and of us checking in as the staff shared their maintenance elevators were down. We stood in line over 30 minutes with our luggage to get into our room. Not the start to a romantic anniversary weekend. We decided to brave the elevators and ride down to the serene looking pool advertised, hahah no. The ride took forever when we finally make it there were no pool lounges or chairs and about a million kids running around everywhere. Needless to say we took another long elevator ride back up to our room. Scared to leave we weren't sure what do. Brave the elevators again for another 30 minute trip or sit in the room and do nothing? Totally sucked. Wanted to visit the rooftop bar but you have the ride the elevator to the lobby, wait in line and then go up. The line was 50+ deep. Things calmed down the second night we were there but I can't say I wasn't disappointed the first night. When we finally made it up to the rooftop bar, it's lovely. The view is stunning, the food was good and we enjoyed it. Would I stay here again? Maybe but never for a romantic getaway

Room had big crack along the ceiling with an obvious spot with previous leaking and water damage that had been patched. Bathroom tub was dirty. 30 minute wait for elevator upon checkin time.
