We have stayed at this property in the past as hard rock. It was our go to place to stay. We stayed here now as golden nugget. Our ac didn’t cool our room.. they told us to open our window. You cannot run the ac and get hot water at the same time. The bath tub also didn’t drain. All the properties in the area are under construction currently. The rooms are also all still decorated as hard rock theme too. Not a huge deal but definitely noticeable and off.

We have stayed at this same resort several times in the past, however this experience stunk, literally. Rooms smell like stale cigarettes, tracks on the closet were broken and our shower took forever to drain. It seemed there were 3 guests on the 6th floor and we were all right together by the crews room and ice machine. Saturday night was a 20 people party right across from us. Witnessed security once, but lasted well into early morning. Sunday morning after barely any sleep woke up to screaming kids checking out and Monday morning the housekeepers screaming at each other down the halls at 7am. We were very disappointed and are tired of using Expedia and being treated poorly. Expedia is something I will reconsider using next time and definitely will not be staying at the golden nugget in South lake again.

We stayed here for one night. They were under contruction, so it wasnt perfect every where but it was still clean where it needed to be. Most staff were very friendly, except the front desk agent on the night of check in. She wasnt mean. She just wasnt friendly either. However, the morning FD agent for check out was cool and the 2 cafe girls were very sweet in the morning when we grabbed coffee and food. I would stay again!

The stay was fine. We know this is an older hotel and didn't expect huge updating of decor. But let's talk about the service. Friendly, no. The one older male maybe had a bad day, or maybe not. Regardless, we didn't feel welcomed.

This was my first visit after the name of the hotel change from Hard Rock to Golden nugget. Karen made my visit amazing she was helpfull and super nice i will defently come back to this hotel. Karen was just amazing
