It was my first time to stay such a small room, but it is clean. The area of this hotel is great. I really enjoyed the first day of this hotel, even though the room was very small.

Great location around the Shinjuku station. Nice staffs in the hotel and also the restaurant. The facility is aging but generally very clean. Will come back with the same budget.
I stayed at Kadoya Hotel for 10 days and I had a wonderful experience. The hotel was super accommodating to my large party and always remained helpful and friendly. This is a great hotel to stay at if you want to be close to Shinjuku station. The nightlife in the area is top notch. There are many restaurants open late, bars, karaoke, and this hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk from Kabukicho. I would definitely stay at Kadoya Hotel again
This hotel far exceeded my expectations. It was so convenient in location and gave you everything you needed. Staff were so polite and accommodating. Sure it isn’t the Hilton, but you’re not coming to Tokyo to spend the holiday in your room.
The staff was so incredibly friendly and accommodating. I really wished I could give this place 5 stars but unfortunately for us, we had to switch rooms. The first room had mold specs all over the bathroom door and walls. The air conditioner also wasn’t working properly in the room. It was cooler to open the windows wide and turn off the air. We dropped it down to 64*F and it was blowing out warm air. I checked with the front desk staff to ask if we could change rooms and he was super friendly and accommodating and took me to the new room to check. He did mention that the temperature would unfortunately be the way it is because the air conditioner is controlled by a main controller. I already felt like I was being a bother so I only checked the bathroom door and it looked okay. But once we settled into our new room, there was still a ton of mold specs in the bathroom. The air conditioner worked in the new room so it was nice and cool. But overall I can tell the ventilation was bad, and that’s probably where the mold comes from. We had to open the window everyone we showered to let out the hot air.
Besides the mold specs and warm air, it was a decent room for Tokyo. The staff are friendly and they try their best to make you feel at home.
Great location in proximity to Shinjuku station. Staff were very helpful and responsive. Rooms are small but well appointed and maintained. Breakfast in the cafe was just okay, otherwise 5 stars.

Property was in an excellent location. Quiet but in walking distance to all the action and good train access. The hotel is on the older side but good deal for price point if you plan on spending most of your time exploring the city. The first time we stayed, we had no issues. The second time we stayed at the end of our trip (overnight before our flight) we were given a room that smelled heavily of cigarettes. The staff was prompt in moving us to a new room, although it too had a lingering smell though passable for the one night we stayed.
Kadoya Hotel has an excellent location. It is very quiet and very close to restaurants and the ttain station.

First time in Tokyo
The Kadoya isn’t a fancy hotel, with a small lobby and limited services. Our room with two single beds was a bit rough, looking a little worn, but the room size was adequate. The bed was a little firm for my liking. You do hear street noise and ear plugs were necessary. But the HVAC was extremely quiet and the bathroom with generous shower and fancy Toto toilet were a treat. It’s close to Shinjuku and close to a great many restaurants. My wife and I are glad we stayed here, and we’ll be back to the Kadoya later in our Japanese holiday.
