On my trip to japan i stayed at tokyo, osaka, kyoto, back to tokyo. I stayed at tosei during the first week im tokyo, and booked them again for the last leg of my trip. Reasons were - staff was excellent in every way - location was great - room size was good for the location.

Great location in Ueno district of Tokyo. Close to the park, metro, commuter train, train station to Narita Airport, close to local shopping district. Family of four was in very small room with bunk beds (1 bed/person). Beds were fine but the space is tight with luggage. Quiet despite being in a busy area of the neighbourhood.

Hotel was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful in answering questions. Location was fantastic! Close to many train stations. Family Mart downstairs right across the street was very convenient. There’s even a luggage forwarding store close to the hotel.

Nice hotel. Small space but good enough to sleep comfortably. Freebies include extra pillow (with choice on type of pillow), coffee and tea vending machine, snacks like gummies and green peas, and toiletries (esp love the bath salts). Towels were changed daily. Excellent location for food and shopping as well as varied transport options. Direct connection to Narita airport but quite a walk to Kesei skyliner station if you have luggage. Bunk bed had individual night light and sockets for charging phones etc. There’s a small table with chairs to eat inside room. Space was tight for multiple luggage but enough if just one or two.

Great location, close to the train station and to the shopping area. The staff was super kind and welcoming. I recommend not taking big suitcases (in general for Japan) because the rooms are quite small, but with a carry-on luggage it is fine and the space is manageable! A lot of amenities, free coffee and tea, self-laundry and vending machines inside the building. Highly recommended, great value for money!

Close proximity to Ameyoko and Ueno park. Close to Ueno station, Hibiya/Ginza lines, JR lines and Ueno Kensei station. The hotel room is typical of small Tokyo rooms. Not the best sound proofing. Great when all you need it for is sleeping and storing your luggage. Recommended.

This was a great, well priced hotel for a one night stop over next to Ueno station which has a direct train to Narita. Hotel offered extra pillows, free coffee, tea, sweets and the room was clean. Bathroom was very basic and small but adequate for a short stay. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Great hotel, staff were very kind and the room was very clean. We stayed in their bunk bed rooms - it was quite small for four travelers to share and felt a bit pricey for what it was, but we were happy to find a nice room near Ueno park that accommodated four people nevertheless. The only downside were the pillows - they were incredibly uncomfortable and had small weighted rocks in the pillowcase - super uncomfortable! Would be a 5 star review if they had normal pillows

Conveniently located. Room amenities you would normally expect are available for free. They replenish towels and water bottles every day, though no room cleaning unless explicitly requested. Good choice for a few nights stay, where you plan to spend most of your time outside exploring and coming back only to sleep and repeat.
