Glen was great and extremely friendly. He greeted us with a smile and gave us the warmest welcome. Super first impression. We normally stay at Ventana but decided to mix it up a little bit… Our room was a deluxe with a view- very clean and spacious but had a weird musty smell. They freshened up the room the next day and it did help but not completely. The cleaning service was very good except for Sunday. Pool was clean and pool staff was friendly and helpful- getting out the towels in timely manner with a smile. We reserved a section of the pool with seatings and table for my niece and nephew. We had much fun (the hotel provided floats) and ordered food from Sweet Water. Food was delicious. I would have given five stars instead of four had it not been for one of the staff at the pool questioning if I paid for the reserved space. She came FOUR times demanding I show receipt, which I did but insisted the receipt needed a confirmation number…. I showed her my email and proof of payment but still insisted I needed a confirmation number (btw- I never received). This caused embarrassment to me in the presence of my guests. Ugh. They need to be more organized. She did eventually come back to tell me my pool space reservation has been verified. To add to the damage, my final bill had a bill that was not mine- but they rectified it. Other than that, my overall stay was good. I might consider coming back… perhaps just for the spa treatment.
